There are some very noticeable names on that list -- guys who just signed big fat $$ contracts -- Larry Johnson, Adalius Thomas, Nate Clements.
McNeill has given up 9.5 sacks this year. I also enjoy how all the pundits and D'Brick haters(note-I don't LOVE the guy but I think he'll be a plus player) would conveniently disregard the many concerns about the long term health questions centered around McNeill's back and weight. The guy might very well have a long, storied career, but he might also have a good five year run before he hits a serious decline. I won't be surprised if, even if he rebounds, the Chargers don't lock him up long term. -X-
You have to be Kidding me!!! Who has he faced this year? Jason Taylor, James Harrison, Aaron Schobel, Osi Umenyiora? Bunch of crap if you ask me. These guys all suck.
That's an accurate assessment, although I might have put Marvin Lewis there instead. Last year people thought that Mangini could cobble together very little talent and still drive the Jets to wins against mediocre opponents. This year the wheels have fallen off and he's been exposed as no better, and maybe quite a bit worse, than the average NFL coach. The saddest thing about this year is that it's clear we are going to have to assemble talent at the Patriot's level if we ever want to really compete against them. That's a Loooooong-term process.
(Troubling footnote to Don Banks' All-Disappointment Team: Eric Mangini is the coach.)[/QUOTE] Tannebaum deserves to be the alternate GM on the All-Disappointment team (Randy Mueller GM of Miami has to be #1).
