Nelson signed a 2 year deal when he first signed that was released today therefore he has 1 more year left. He didn't sign a 2 year extension
Well, kind of, yes. But seeing how few fans even knew Nelson was singed for 2 years back when and that he'll be back again in 2014 makes this thread decently informative.
Nelson is a great target to have on the field. The guy catches everything thrown his way and is a young player. Surround him with a top flight receiver and TE and it'll only make him and Kearly that much better.
There was some confusion regarding whether Nelson signed an extension or already was signed thru '14.
Basically it was tweeted that Nelson signed a 2 year extension, it was picked up by Rotoworld. The person who originally tweeted said when he was signed in October it was for 2 years so there was no extension. He is signed through the end of next season. When the OP Martin#28 posted he just passed on what was tweeted which based on his post would have been accurate until it was later clarified that there was no extension. Rather than delete the thread because I think the overwhelming majority didn't know how long he was signed for I just modified the title. To quote Dark Helmet "Everybody got that" ?
I saw the Rotoworld article and we weren't the only message board that had this thread. You weren't going crazy....
