    FO = Front Office
    CS= Coaching Staff
    DC= Def Cord
    OC= Off Cord

    Darksider = Non-koolaid drinking, ganggreen smoking, pompom waving Jet Fan. Usually an older Jet Fan but as the years grind on, our numbers grow and get younger.

    I don't see myself as a darksider, just someone who has seen alot of football and knows what I like. I've been to all four games here on the West Coast, and no one was an acceptable effort.

    There's no aggression or passion from either the offense or defense. The coaching staff is a joke and frankly this team does NOT deserve to be in the playoffs.

    I would fire Tannenbaum first, because I'm not impressed with his ability to put together a football team. This team has no identity, nothing to hang its hat on. I'd fire Mangini because I'm just tired of him, looking confused on sidelines and not being able to make adjustments. If I were Woody, I'd give Mangini and Tannenbaum the following edict..."Follow the entire coaching staff and scouts and bring a team that can make Jets fans proud!!!

    Who could be happy about this? Another wasted year. It doesn't make me feel good that I was correct in pointing out that despite our then 8-3 record, looking ahead to the Super Bowl was a foolhardy and counterproductive way of thinking in light of the fact that this franchise has repeatedly not lived up to expectations in the past.

    So I'm guessing that most people who have posted on this thread weren't exactly surprised that this team has once again collapsed down the stretch.

    That being said, I was incredulous as I watched each and every bad loss this team has had over the past month. I would say to myself, "Could it be happening again?" The immediate answer that popped into my head was, "Yes."

    Anyone who can be highly optimistic going into any Jet season is willfully denying the team's history.

    No no no TBTF, they're "Real Jet Fans". Yanno, the ones that incessantly make excuses and hand out passes year after year to any and everyone on Woody's payroll. :rolleyes: :)

    Ready for a darksider comment?

    Could you imagine both Pats and Ravens lose...and we go out there and stink up the joint again a la the Seattle game?

    I can.

    Yea...meanwhile the other group just blames the coaching staff as if the players have nothing to do with anything in the end.

    I don't see why a polarization is necessary, but I also don't see why there needs to be 8038230238023 threads explaining why everyone on the coaching staff sucks. So...maybe I'm just fucked up as a fan.

    I fully agree DWare that this topic has been beaten more than a rented mule. It appears that people, just like the media, feel the need to stir things up on occasion.

    I'd love to see two new sections added to the board. One for Darksiders, One for "Real Jet Fans". :wink:

    That would be the quintessential Same Old Jets moment.

    The problem with this team is not that they lose....it is that they get your hopes up, only to break your heart. I know they call us darksiders, but that isn't what we are.....we are fans that have been beaten and battered by this team to the point where we are numb. Those who are wild-eyed optimists just haven't been burned enough times to be in the same place as those of us who are more cynical. Trust me when I tell you that the darksiders want a Super Bowl win as much as the sunshiners....if not more. We just don't open ourselves up to the pain anymore (or at least not as much).

    You are spot on. I've said it plenty of times, the biggest mistake I did this year was to believe in this team. I should've known better after being stabbed in the heart by this franchise over the past 20+ years.
