Second stringer on some teams is a solid start here. It's all relative.

This is laughable. No offense to you SGB but what in the Jets recent history suggests that Bowles can keep this team in line. The only line he's achieved is the hairline fracture in Gino's jaw.

That maybe so, but that would be a poor job by Mac if he unloaded Bridgewater for a second tier OL man just because he is better than what we have. You have to get equal value for the trade. Fowler is young...A position of need..A starter....an airhead, oh well can't have everythingo_O. And good value for Teddy.

I'm guessing you were tons of fun as you just made stuff up to appear cool. Fun fact, no one cares

    He's an asshole.

Would love his talent, not his persona. Not being a prude but sometimes these assholes can cause more issues than they are worth.

If he's so young and talented, how did the Jags not exercise his option?

"if he's so young and talented".

Um. Is that even a question? The answer is actually quite simple.

    Come 2019...

A.) The Jets will be ranked #1 in abaiavail cap space.

    While...

B.) The Jaguars will be 31st in available cap space.

Unlike our Jets: the Jacksonville Jaguars are in salary cap hell.

Shouldn't really be that hard to understand and anyone who's watched his college career while @ Florida (drafted 3rd overall) and/or followed his 10 sack season of 2017 wouldn't ever question his talent level (it's elite) to begin with.

I agree, Mo Wilkerson is going to look like a choir boy next to this guys if the jets do acquire him via trade. It’s not the type of personality the jets should be looking to bring in.

Dave Caldwell managed to draft two good pass rushers, what the hell has Mac done?

It’s the same pool of college players and Jets are drafting scrubs like Donahue, Caldwell is drafting studs like Yanick in the third round.

Keep the draft pick, focus on developing Darnold and scouting oline help in next years draft. Let Fowler become someone else’s headache.

Coughlin and Caldwell would have picked up option on Fowler’s fifth year if he was worth keeping around.

I watched Fowler in college (close family friend and quasi-godson went to Florida) so you don't need to quote his stats or where he went or when he was drafted or what conference he played in. Or his age. Or his height or weight. Or 40 time. Or his x-factor factor.

24 year old pass rushing demons you create space for.

    He's an asshole.

This. Even at $14 million the Jags could have created space to keep such an "elite" talent.

Next time he assaults someone he's gone for 4 games.

I'm hesitant about bringing Fowler in.
Definitely wouldn't give any good draft picks.
If it's Teddy straight up then maybe roll the dice as we'd be trading one rental for another. low risk.

I'd rather have a 2nd round pick if possible tho.

I'm not anti-Fowler the player, he'd be a huge upgrade (well, anything at pass rush would be) and I'd give up value to get the player.

I just don't like the person and it's finally feeling warm and fuzzy to root for this team again.

We've previously established this and @FJF has already admitted his shame. He is full of remorse.

    I agree with you.
I wouldn't be thrilled about bringing his personality into the locker room, and def wouldn't give up much for him.

There's a reason Jax is moving on. His production has not outmatched his bullshit.

And seriously, who throws groceries into a lake?

That is not sufficient. Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill is a cherished part of my childhood, and the gods of bad wine must be appeased before this transgression can be forgiven.
