8 sacks isn’t really good? I should have said top tier talent, because you’re right he’s not at top tier production yet. But I take a guy with 8 sacks in his last season in a heartbeat.
I just went out to my recycling bin and it's on every label. Strawberry Hill is delicious, just the right amount of sweetness.
Which would you rather have if both were possible? Jets trade a 1st and Kearse for Mack, and later on flip Bridgewater for a 2nd rd pick. Or Jets trade Bridgewater for Fowler and keep their 1st rd pick. Another way of looking at it. Mack and a 2019 2nd rd pick Vs. Fowler, Keep Kearse, and 2019 1st rd pick.
Both. Mack for Kearse & a 1st Fowler for Bridgewater & Josh Martin Lock em both up. Pass rush issue solved
I couldn’t be any more against trading Kearse especially with a first. Taking the best route runner and most reliable set of hands away from Darnold is counterproductive.
Insert whom ever youd like instead..i only listed Kearse bc thats who everyone else was listing in the thread.though i must be honest if Jermaine Kearse is the sticking point to land Mack..ill drive him to Newark international myself
Wow, really tough choice here. I think I would take Fowler and keep the first. My thinking here is we are picking in the 6-10 range and can walk away with a lt (trey Adams,Jonah Williams)with the first. So Fowler and upgrade left tackle > Mack and whatever we could pull in the 2nd round. I don’t think there’s a wrong answer here though.
I think of Kearse as the Cotchery of this group. Remember what happened when we slowly started taking away all of Sanchez's fail-safes? And considering Pryor is on a one-year deal, Anderson can't be trusted and Quincy hasn't been able to stay healthy... I don't know that I'd screw Darnold over like that. Regardless, the Raiders are stacked at WR and I wouldn't see them asking for Kearse.
Beachum and Winters look to be healthy again, makes me feel better about starting Darnold week 1; adding Fowler would be worth it if they take Teddy and Teddy alone.
Think there's a pro and con we can extrapolate here. The pro: Mac is actively inquiring about rushers. The con: The fluff Bowles has been saying in the media about not needing a named guy is bogus and there is no one on the roster capable of getting to the QB.
I really do not want to sacrifice our 1st round pick next year because we desperately need a franchise LT.
Fowler is talented but he's an idiot.... that being said said, it would definitely be an improvement to the JETS D. While I dont know the details of his contract, the trade for Teddy makes sense for both parties. If it goes down probs go to FJF
Local kid from right here in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Would be a dream come true for me. My 1st ever niece (my older sisters 1st daughter) ended up dating Dante Fowler Jr's younger brother all throughout H.S, have a baby together (my 1st ever great niece) and still together. It would become mind blowing if the man I share a great niece with becomes a N.Y Jet after years of wanting Fowler Jr. a Jet during his Florida Gator days. I love Leonard Williams but I was praying hard for Dante Fowler Jr on draft night and became instantly disappointed and let down the moment Jacksonville drafted him 3rd overall. Just this month turned only 24 years of age, coming off a season consisting of 8.0 sacks and an extremely talented outside/edge pass rushing (soon to be) nightmare. He'd become our most explosive pass rushing threat we've featured since dating back to #94 John Abraham. I'd trade Teddy in a New York second in return for an outside/edge pass rusher in Fowler Jr. Leonard Williams & Dante Fowler Jr. would become an awesome duo/tandem together.
Rather go for Fowler then Mack for those asking prices. Don't think there's anyone (who would be realistic) that I would trade away the first round for
