D.Sanders' head just inflated a little more....he certainly deserves it....but we're gonna hear about it ad nauseum.

2012 will be THE YEAR OF THE JET. Get our first Super Bowl in 43 years and #28 makes it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

    You are joking, right?

The selectors just spent all damn day comparing players (and one contributor) from different positions for crying out loud.

while I agree its important that Sabol get in, it sucks that it comes at the expense of a player. It doubly sucks since I feel that Curtis was the next guy in line to be enshrined, so had Sabol not taken the spot of a player I think Martin was in.

This blows, Curtis should have been a first ballot.

I was always a big Faulk fan from his days at SD St.

Agreed. Marshal and Shannon deserve it though. So does Sanders.

Curtis gets in easily next year, but the Jets never get any respect. Just the fact that Klecko isn't even mentioned. Yeah, all of a sudden Chris Hanburger is this mega star.

How much further behind Faulk was Martin in all purpose yards? Can't be that much. This is terrible. You have to also wonder if the Jets themselves hurt Curtis by losing to the Steelers. If the Jets are playing the Packers tomorrow, Curtis is in.

Yeah, it's absurd. Maybe Klecko will become a superstar in 2023 or so.

Richard Dent was one of the best defensive players of his generation. Should have made it years ago.

That is not really telling us much. All these players were among the best at their positions during their playing days.

Faulk had more all purpose yards than Martin and won a ring. He deserved to make it before Martin and Bettis.

That was your running back for the year. I'm not shocked the other two didn't get in this year.

Shannon Sharpe was the all-time leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns by a tight end at the time of his retirement.

Deion Sanders was one of the best cover men in NFL history. 1331 interception return yards is second all time as are his 9 Interception touchdown returns. Dynamic return man.

Richard Dent retired ranked 3rd all time in sacks. He belongs.

You want to bitch about Richter and Hanburger, go for it.

Cris Carter and Dermontti Dawson both deserve to be in the Hall and have not made it yet. So it's not like Martin and Bettis were the only ones "Snubbed" this year.

I thought your original comment was silly enough to garner such a response from me.

I thought the pass rushers were going to cancel each other out this year. I don't know that Dent was better than Doleman. I'd take Doleman over Dent, but it is close. I have no problem if someone argues for Dent over Doleman. I think Haley is behind both.

What about L.C. Greenwood? Was Dent better than him? I don't know.

The problem with Greenwood was that he played with a bunch of Hall of Famers. Was he a good player who was made to look great because he had such great teammates or, simply, was he great?
