Patriot fans stand all game too. Even last year when we were up 24-6 on them, they were standing up and yelling strong. With Matt fucking Cassel behind center.

I don't know why Jet fans won't stand. I've had season tickets for 15 years and I still don't get it.

Your right next to me im in 325. Your section always seems to be up for games especially that last row. That one guy in that last row who always seems to be wearing a different costume every game. yesterday he had a star wars helmet.

I will say it for the hundreth time, we have 50k hard core fans, that's it. The rest go to the big games or 70 and sunny. That's why we will never sell out next year, we don't have enough REAL fans to sell out. You people who did not come because of the weather are Xussy fans.

I went to a Pats game in 93 in New England - no one was standing, I went to a miami game in miami a few years a go - no one was standing. For people to act like standing up means you are a fan is crazy. I have been going to games for 15 years and I remember when we played Jax, GB, Indy - all those big games in the playoffs or trying to get into the playoffs - fans never sat down. For game 6 for a 3-2 team playing like shit...people will sit and wait for the next mistake that brings out the SOJ or the Just End The Season talk. You want fans to stand like we did against NE this year--play like that every week for 16 games

We do, I always do. I never wait til close to game time because that's dumb and I would miss kickoff.

but, as we stated earlier, today the gates in question were longer than usual.
and add the fact that there was LESS of a crowd means something was up...

But either way the turnout was disappointing and the fact that It was cold, a 4:15 KO, people pissed @ PSL's meant there are way too many empty seats.

Plus it went to overtime, pfffft... the place was at least 60% empty by then.
    TRAGIC!

I was there last night, and I agree with some who say those are the "real fans". However, most of those who made it didn't make a peep. People sat there like they were waiting for something bad to happen.

We even had some dipshits sitting by us in Steelers gear. Utterly sickening.

328 wasnt that bad. i was there and we were loud when we needed to be. seemes like me and my buddys chased out some of those fans that just sit there and hate when u stand up. they left at half mostly. by the time the 4th qtr came i had no one behind us for 8 or 10 rows so i could stand the rest of the game without my fellow fans bitching at me. UNBELEIVABLE!

I agree when I see a game on TV (the only way I see one) you guys look bored. Sitting always sitting and I don't mean when we suck. I mean we could be up 21-0 you guys just sit there. I always wonder this but never uttered it "Is football different up there?". I'm not trying to insight flames but sometimes I wonder if the feeling for football is different.

I don't get the whole standing up thing - especially when we have the ball - what are effen Texas A&M. When the Jets are on D , I have no problem with it and join in regularly. But standing for the sake of just standing is annoying and stupid.

I agree that we don't have more than 50k hardcore fans now. My theory and hope is that in the new stadium, people are going to have to shell out major bucks to go to games . This willl keep the fair weathers, Giants fans and brokers away from tickets. The guys who whine today about having to travel or weather or this & that - have their out and won't be back.

I think we'll see much better Jet crowds going forward after this year

The one funny thing I took from yesterday's game. When the flight crew got announced and came out for their final "performance" in the 4th quarter - they were roundly booed . Shows you how ornery the Jet crowd was yesterday.

This is the 3rd season i haven't been to a game(moved out of the area). I remember in 02 the game vs the Broncos in December, and the 41-0 playoff vs the Colts. After that, for the next 5 years i never heard a crowd that loud there.

Week 2 this year was the loudest its been since the 98 playoff game.

I've been going to nearly every home game (missed two) 1994-present.

What does standing have to do with whether you are a good fan or not???? Last time I checked, your voice works when you sit and so do your hands. Plus, the players can't tell if you are sitting or standing.

I paid for my SEAT and I am pushing 50 (in a few days) and I have no desire to stand for 3+ hours after standing for 3 hours prior to the game in the parking lot tailgating.

I'll tell you what a real fan is. A real fan gets to his or her seat before the player introductions let alone the kick off. That knocks out 60-70% of Jets fans who never ever seem to be able to tell time and make it to their seats for the start of the game.

A real fan doesn't get up from his seat 5-6 times a game to get beer and go to the bathroom, missing about 10-15 plays. I rarely miss a play.

I real fan is back in his/her seat for the start of the second half, not off getting another beer or asking some girl to lift her shirt at Gate D while missing 4-5 minutes of the third quarter.

Real fans ignore the stupid fight in the next section and continue to watch the game.

And a real fan stays to the end. I never leave a game early.

When you add all of that up, there are about 20,000 real fans each week.

I come home from every game with a hoarse voice from yelling, but I prefer to sit during the game. I can see standing for a few big plays or for more than that when the situation calls for it (nobody sat during the OT). But I don't want to stand just because some snot nose kid who comes in halfway through the first quarter with 2 beers in his hand thinks you have to stand and yell to watch a game. The same snot nose kid is the one who misses the second half kickoff and then leaves the game in the middle of the fourth quarter to either beat the traffic or head out for a post game tailgate to drink more beer.

I've been going for 30 years, have never missed a kickoff (opening or 2nd half) and never leave early. I yell all game long. I don't need anybody telling me I have to stand to be a good fan.

The reaction to the flight crew is 100% based upon how the team is doing, even though they're out there wearing short skirts in 38 degree weather doing a dance that has nothing to do with the team.

I joined in the boos. I love it.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT on both counts.

Did you know you could get lower level tickets on eBay for ninety-nine cents INCLUDING the parking pass. We don't want to sit in the rain, but did Woody think to build over hangs over the leather seats? NO. Build a bar so people can go watch in there while it's raining instead of cheering in the crowd. Asshat.

I always boo the flight crew anyway. Moreso when we're losing.

For those who are regularly attending the games: get your shit together for Miami. If you don't care about the game, sell your tickets to someone who does.
