I agree with this, even Kyle Wilson has improved this year.

Cro is a major reason why the Jets still have a top 5 pass D even with one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL. Although having good safeties back there for once is also a big reason for that. It's a shame that the rush D has been brutal.

Cromartie, Wilkerson, Malone, Landry, and Brick. You could argue any of those guys cept for Malone really ...

Howard has given up more pressures than anybody else on the line, but he's also the most targeted by the better pass rushers.

Cromartie, Landry and Wilkerson should be probowl material this year. No question. On offense I'd throw in Mangold and DaBrick.

Mangold and DaBrick haven't been extraordinary this year and are part of a line that's widely seen as below average. No way they make the Pro Bowl.

Cromarties been playing so damn good this year I changed my fantasy football team names from Revis Island to Cromartie Island two weeks after Revis went down.
Landry deserves a lot of credit as well I hope we can bring him back next year.

I think Kerly should be top 5. He's always pretty reliable. I cringe when I see him returning punts but I love seeing him in the slot.

He has not, and he's the only tackle in football to play all 12 games and not give one up.

No, I they'll get in. Pro Bowl is name recognition. The OL has played horrific this year. No holes for RBs to get a momentum, and plenty of pressure on our QB. Part of that falls on both of these players (run game). I haven't really seen Mangold destroy his guy this year they he used to do in previous years.

Cromartie is now the best defensive player since Revis went down. He is probably the MVP for this team right now but it still rubs me the wrong way how his contract signing was handled. I am glad we didn't end up with Asomugha. That guy has been terrible. If it wasn't for the worse management by the Eagles FO we would be stuck with a huge contract and a scrub. We dodged a big bullet there but everywhere I see I am constantly reminded how stupid the FO is.

If not Cromartie than Wilkerson or Landry. Either way, all three have been spectacular.

I along with everyone else here appreciate the hits Landry lays on people. But he's made far too many mistakes, both in penalties and blown coverages, to be considered all that valuable.

Landry's not a free safety. He can play free safety, but he's better suited as a strong safety, the role currently filled by Yeremiah Bell. If Bell isn't re-signed and Landry is, you'll see an even better Landry next season.

Yes we will. Even though I like Bell back there but its as if we have 2 SS back there. Hope we can pick up a good coverage safety in the mid rounds.

We haven't had a FS since Kerry Rhodes. It would be about time.

Totally agree with OP. At the risk of blasphemy, Cromartie's play this year makes Revis expendable.

But Wilson's play does not. I do think Kyle has slowly been improving, though.
