Have you ever hyper extended your knee?

Im saying hes fine because hes not a wash at this point. If he continues to
play every game this season he probably wont be 100% till next season. This
is a choice the team the coaches the docs and Cro him self are making every week.

If you think any corner that needs help over top then needs to be cut well there will probably be about 40-50 DB's in free agency tomorrow.

He has the excuse of playing threw the injury. If you ever had had a hyper extension i think your participation in this thread would be extremely
    different.

something is clearly wrong with cro and i have no clue what it is

we always want a scapegoat, but it makes no sense someone goes from a top 10 CB and a pro bowler to ABSOLUTE SHIT in one offseason. he's even changed his life to be more responsible, like i think he has all the effort you could want. something must be hurt, like ray rice in baltimore

Idzik will bring in a FA DB and probably draft another one in the mid to late rounds. How that will effect Cro i don't know.

When healthy, Cro is one of the better DBs in the league, and his tackling has certainly been much better for the Jets than anything he showed for the Bolts.

I can see Cro getting healthy and taking a pay cut to stay with Rex. I don't think he'd command huge dollars on the open market so staying here may be his best bet.

DBs and WRs will be a big part of the menu in April 2014.

While I actually agree with this statement, it is a great example of one of my biggest pet peeves, people manipulating someone's position to conveniently comply with their counter argument. If it was done on purpose, then it displays, in the words of P-Diddy, a little "bitchassness". If by accident, then it shows the lack of reading comprehension. Either way, a good debate can not be had with either one. RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) go back and re-read what I wrote about why Cro needs to be cut in relation to help over the top.

Injured or not Cro has been inconsistent throughout his entire career. Him following a pro-bowl season with another good season would have been the exception not the rule.

So if Cro is really still hurt, put him on the bench and let Walls take his spot... Can't be any worse than what we are seeing now.... Let him heal up 100%...

Banged up or not Cromartie is asked to do a lot.

He is usually matched up with the # 1 threat of the opposing team without any safety help. He has been very good cornerback despite a few very noticeably bad plays.

In short, he is not our biggest problem by a long shot.

We are lacking consistent offensive production and the ability to put the fear of God into opposing quarterbacks with our lame pass rush. If the QB has all day to look for a receiver he will find one no matter who you have at CB.

Cromartie has looked bad but still light years ahead of Milliner. I think he will survive the purge that takes Sanchez, Holmes and others next offseason but that doesn't mean he wont be under the microscope.

He looks slower - I think he's playing hurt. Not really an excuse but possibly a hopeful explanation.

I disagree, Cromartie wasnt impressive last year either. He had some great INTs but in terms of actually being physical and covering WR's he was average at best.

I thought he was pretty impressive last season as far as what I saw.

If the man is that hurt, he shouldn't be playing. Maybe they should shut him down. He's given up a TD pass every SINGLE game this season.

im pretty sure he graded out as a top 5 CB. don't quote me on that, but our pass defense was 2nd in the NFL and he had a large part to do with that

I don't know if the bulking up hurt. It may have. I don't agree with pilling on him also. He always seems to get beat on stupid plays, wind, trips, misread by safeties. I don't think he's is as bad as appears also.

We also need to understand that Goodwin was an Olympic track athlete and was a member of the 4x100 meter prelim team in London. The guy has blazing speed and would have run by most CB's on that play yesterday. He was a guy I wanted the Jets to badly draft for that reason and unlike Jonny Lam Jones wouldn't be a first rounder and can catch.

I say the same to you sir. You should probably re read my statement and spend a few mins figuring out why your response made little to no sense. Hopefully ending your contribution to this thread. Also your insults since they are not needed.

You took me saying Cro is fine as Cro is healed and has lost speed. When in fact i was stating he doesn't have his speed back from the hyper extension yet. Now someone who actually knew what he was talking about would understand that a hyper extension takes about as long to heal as a fracture of the bone. Cro is playing threw the injury and this is why he does not have his speed back.

Your reply to this is cut him cause we pay him to much to give him help over the top?

Cut our best corner because he is playing threw an injury and needs help?

You sir should stop posting and save the insults for a post you may have a valid point in because this thread is not it.

Because if you put walls in you still have to give safety help and have a lesser corner playing there.

With safety help over top cro can play more physical with out the fear of leaving a guy alone on the 9 route. This is why he is constantly taking a running start now.

(Being Swedish, I'm gonna come off sounding like a douche now...)

But - you've used the word "threw" three times in this thread alone, instead of "through".
    • Mark Sanchez threw an interception.
    • Sheldon Richardson ran straight through him.
Your posts are nicely written, gramatically - that's why I'm taking the time and alerting you on it, so they deservingly can be flawless from now on. ^^
