Perhaps the smartest and most tactful thing Cromartie has ever said.

Honestly, I do not think the Jets will spend big at CB with so many other needs. They will offer Cro something reasonable, but not expect it to be high enough. Maybe they resign Drew Coleman or bring in another dime corner.

use the money elsewhere. Nice player but let wilson step up by Cro hope the best till you play us. And remember who help with the back child support. Drew is the dick here though I heard him on the radio bashing the agreement because of first refusal rights. He is just after money, nothing wrong with that but he just strikes me a self promoting a$$

    I don't know about this.

This is the same Jets team, under Rex's advisement, which drafted a CB as a luxury pick instead of bolstering the D-Line (knowing Jenkins can't stay healthy) 2 years ago.

Now some will argue the value dictated the pick but, I still maintain they should have went D-Line 2 years ago.

    So that said, SIGN ASOMUGHA....lol.

Its not the leaving part......we get that. You just don't have to go running your mouth about it, especially when the jets helped you out last year by spotting you an advance to pay your bills. Just do it quietly.

Looks like it'll be hard to keep Cro. I hope he gets good money for his kids' sakes. The Jets will be fine.

You looked like a little bitch against Garcon anyway. Good riddance.

youre upset that he stated something that you should have already known?

cro wont, nor any other of the top cb's, sign a contract until aso sets the market ... once aso signs, these guys will start negotiating

I don't think we NEED him but I still would like to see him stay. At this point tho I don't see him coming back. Hell I'm not getting a good feeling about any of our big FA right now

If in fact Cro stays, look for all the people saying F him to say how great it is that the Jet FO was able to keep him, blah blah blah.

And one thing you all can be sure is not going to happen is that the Jets will start Wilson at CB on opening day.

That really about covers it. Everything else here is either speculation or grown men talking about Cro as if they were some high school girl who didn't get invited to the prom by the guy they had their eyes on.

I think we should put priority on Braylon and then do what we can with Holmes and Cro. IMO I think we should go after guys that want to win over guys who want money.

Pretty much all players want more money and they should get as much as they can. That doesn't mean they don't want to win.

Respectfully, I just don't get the point here. For one, this is now a mass media driven society. These guys can't cough without the shit being reported somewhere. And this was an interview. He was asked a question, he gave an answer. He didn't go out and run his mouth. And if there is no problem in him looking out for himself financially, what is the problem with him articulating that?

I just think some guys (with junc it's expected) are blowing this way out of proportion.

    Peace out Cro.....
This means that Holmes and Edwards should be around for a while......
The consistency will be good for Sanchez's maturation process.

Not that I REALLY want to see this happen, but should Cro not sign and we get the next best available CB on the market, theres going to be shit load of tears when Revis Island has fuck all to do all game, whilst new CB-X gets picked on all game.
Cro is excatly what Rex's D needs a tall rangy CB with good speed.

Coleman has never been and never will be a #2 CB, so to all these peeps here that say good riddance to Cro, who exactly are you going to replace him with?

Bye bye Cro, it was nice watching you play for the Jets and thanks for letting Shawn score that TD.

The only person I care about bringing back is Holmes, everybody else can go play for Miami for all I care. Just give me Holmes and Plax and for some reason I feel that's enough to win. Two great Superbowl winning WR's and one that also knows how to hold on to a bar of soap/prison experience. That IMO is enough to win it all. Indy here we come!
