very happy we brought back cro.. best availble move for us. price was good so let's hope we get some good play. now that all the major deals are done Let's play some football!! GO JETS! its gonna b a great season!
I'd like to have seen it be a little less. I also hope that Cro can pull his shit together, after his amazing season at SD they started playing more zone D and he started acting a diva. Who will our kick returner be? I don't want Cotch out there doing it again, he looked like he was in slow motion. What safety's would fit well? Atari Bigby?
The overlooked thing is that bringing back Cro means that we are bringing back a guy who isn't new to the system. He's played here for a year and won't need to learn a totally new system. That's really important considering the shortened offseason.

Kerley does not have blazing sub 4.0 speed, but he is extremely quick, runs great routes and has sure hands.
Been following this hourly, great site here, this is great news. I was so worried that the final number was going to be greater then $10M. This is a great signing. Shame that we couldn't squeeze in Braylon also and have them all locked in for 3-4 years, but we'll probably be fine.
I cant see them using a starter exclusively for KO's. Maybe on rare occasion where we need a sprk like at the end of last season. I just dont see it happening.
Revis and Cromartie are a great duo. Cro is honestly a really good CB and is in that 2nd tier of best CB's in the NFL. The lack of pass rush sometimes makes him look bad but its great to see him back.
This debate has been done before. Its tiresome and incorrect. Ed Reed return punts for the Ravens. They risked injury to a HOFer. If Cro is the best option to return kicks, he'll do it.
Aso aside, which I am not sure was really considered realistic before FA began, Tanny did a great job. He brought back both Cro and Holmes, replaced Braylon, and really has done a good job making sure this franchise did not take a step back.
Because of Cro's experience and trustworthiness as a returner, he'll be at the top of the depth chart. But I agree with what you're saying - if either of those two can show they are just as capable, perhaps they'll get a chance.
Meh. Not sure I have an opinion about re-signing Cromartie yet. Our pass defense actually got worse in 2010 from the previous year when Cromartie wasn't on the team. Not saying that he made it worse, but he didn't exactly make us better either.
