rick lyle was the man, he's gotta be the all time jets leader in passes deflected at the line of scrimmage!
r u sure your not thinking of shane burton? 16 pass deflects in 2 years http://www.newyorkjets.com/team/all_time/player/stats/117-shane-burton rick lyle only had 7 for his entire career http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=716
Mike Devito reminds me a lot of Shane Burton. Not so much for the passes deflected as for the role he's going to be playing.
It's so funny how the Sun-Sentinel is doing the same thing with the countdown to the Phins season. Today they are on #97, and they posted a picture of John Bosa, DE from 1987-1989. Someone on the paper must be a Jets fan, and told them about how they do the countdown. GO JETS!
I know!!!!!!!! They did last year as well when they were counting down to the number of days for the Super Bowl.:rofl:
Here is the link from the paper. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...players-by-number-2009,0,1539714.photogallery The printed version is only in the paper, and they comment on each player. Here is what they wrote: #97 John Bosa, A tweener lineman/linebacker, he was taken with the 16th pick in the 1987 draft. Bosa was the third in a succession of wasted first-round picks (along with Jackie SHip in 84, Lorenzo Hampton in 85, Eric Kumerow in 88 and Sammie Smith in 89) that killed the Dolphins as Dan Marino played his prime seasons. :finssuck:
