The problem with Cromartie moving to safety as everyone is pushing for is that he is a piss poor tackler. Move him around the defensive formation to play man on various guys yes, but to push him to free safety leaves him in a poor spot because he body flails at ball carriers or tries to grab them hold on and hope they fall down. Good tackler corners ala the Woodson's can make the transition, bad tackling ones generally don't.
I thought the same. But I believe it's a logical step to bring him in to help the young guys with the install of the D under Bowles, and provide veteran leadership. Especially if Landry's not coming back.
Spot on. Cro would be a disaster as a FS. He'd have to have 10+ picks, with a couple of them being pick 6s to compensate for all the missed tackles he'd have.
Besides a few highlights none of us really know how well or poorly AC played this year. He is looking for a job and the reporter is looking for a story. Let the new coaches make the decision. They know best.
Lookin good so far! @BrianCostello Antonio Cromartie on a Jets reunion: "My door is always open to returning. Everybody knows I didn’t want to leave." #nyj
Cro wants to seal the deal in NY. By that I mean, he wants to populate his 10th kid in grand style by having it be born in the greatest city in the world!
False, some of us wanted to bring him back, and posted such. Going into last year with a patchwork collection of rookies and scrubs in our backfield was clearly asinine, which is why we need to sign someone this year, or we will be in the same situation.
So Cro isn't in love with Rex it's about the NYJ. They were good to him esp Tannenbaum. When he came over here he was inundated with financial and legal problems and they helped him out. As for not re-signing him last year it was a non issue. He was coming off a bad year. I think it would be a good signing because he played well in 2014. I think they could go with Cro and Milliner as starters but Mac might want a better cover guy to go alongside Dee.
That's cool that he still lives in NY. According to Peterson, NY is all Cro talks about. So chances seem high! I wish i could watch that video. It's unsupported on tapa.
Ha....No I don't. Cro is just a stop gap, and maybe a help to all the young guys...If they listen to him, observe and learn. I hope Milliner's okay. I have just as much faith in McDougle right now tho. I also feel that in those games at the end of '13 fans got a little too excited about him and about what he did. He was okay and had some luck too. I gotta see it to believe it with him...no Faith there for me with Milliner. Hope I'm wrong. He's got a lot to prove either way
Theres really no reason to be so down on Milliner at this point.......he still has a chance to be a very good corner
