The Jets need to go into this off season looking to add 2 starting caliber CB's to this team. I'd have no problem with Cromartie being one of those guys.
He just might my people, he just might...Although I'd prefer Revis...I dont know if Revis would want to come back
Let's not forget how bad Cro was as our number 1 CB in 2013. If he's our 2nd or 3rd then that's fine.
I think it'd be nice to have Cro back. Although he's not young, McDougle and Milliner have both been injured so much that they're not ready to step in as unquestioned starters like Idzik wanted. I'd like for us to have Cro and another proven veteran CB as our outside guys; then let Milliner and McDougle compete for roster spots along with Marcus Williams and Kyle Wilson. What we don't want to do is give him a huge signing bonus or 3 years of guaranteed salary; we don't want to make a long-term commitment to a CB who is on the wrong side of 30. I'd go with a higher salary deal, but one where we can opt out if he can't get it done on the field.
Yeah I wouldn't mind him back at all cause we need the depth. And for anyone to rely on Milliner as a starter would be foolish. I'd prefer Maxwell to Williams but either guy would be a huge upgrade Cro just can't cover number 1WRs anymore
I'd love for Cro to come back. Never should have let him go in the first place. Even at this point in his career, he's still a serviceable CB when healthy and he would take up very little of the $40 million we have to spend.
Spending a ton of money on guys that we already had and did not help us win a SB is not a good idea. I'm against bringing either one back, use the cap money to sign our players, and strengthen the offense. Defense is not our problem.
Bowles saw Cro up close and personal for 2014 which was a rebound year for Cro. So maybe he does or doesn't want to go with Cro. If so he'll tell Mac and maybe they can work it out. Milliner and Cro as corners plus the other guys.
I agree. Counting on Milliner to be a starter is a bad idea. Bringing back Cro is okay depending on the price.
Definitely. I wouldnt count on Milliner for injury concerns alone. Let him play his way back into the starting lineup.
According to this post on the AZ forums, Cro said he is heading back to Jersey. Might not mean anything. Who knows. http://forums.azcardinals.com/showthread.php?69398-Home-is-where-the-Jordans-are-Antonio-Cromartie
He was the worst player in the secondary that year. It was his second go round with that hip injury too. I did not mind him going. A lot of people here wanted to keep him, though. Not just a few. And sure, as it turned out with the injuries, he would have helped. Personally, I do not want him back. He is a grabber and he will only grab more as he ages. Also, I like my cornerbacks to actually tackle.
