thats really dissapointing to me... but what are you going to do? Sharper can't hold out hope and wait around for us until about 10 days before TC starts. It doesnt surprise me that he would look to grab a team earlier on, but I can still hold out hope right?

I mean, we HAVE to have exchanged dialogue with Sharper's agent before we signed faggot ass Jason Taylor right? The whole Sharper to NY concept was a pipe dream

    *shrug*

I don't think we need Sharper any more than we need someone with average skills and talent who will listen to Jim Leonhard.

Need? No. We had the #1 defense in the NFL last year. We really don't need that much. But we do not have an elite safety, and if Sharper can be a difference maker, especially when the opponent has the ball in our redzone, then he's absolutely someone we should try to get.

That said, it's a pipe dream unless he wants to wait until July. If he is willing to wait, I'd absolutely love it. I just don't think he will.

    Good News:

Would have hated if the Dolphins took him under our noses. Maybe he's still trying to hold out till the Final 8 rule ends

Not nitpicking at all, but you should know, in case it's ever needed in the future, "would of" doesn't exist- it's "would have." Just ask Jtuds.

Where he belongs, honestly. Couldn't imagine him rotting in Jacksonville.

Whatever. He has his ring, so I figured he'd end up doing this.

Was there ever any definitive interest from the Jets for Sharper or was it all on this site?

I don't want anymore big names added to the Jets roster. We have enough. Let's turn the players we do have into superstars.

That'll probably never be confirmed, but since he basically got the same deal in the first year as Jason Taylor I'm just assuming we wanted Taylor more than Sharper. Pass rushing OLB is a bigger need than S if they think Pool is the player we're hoping he is

I'm bracing myself for a big dose of Eric Smith this year.

I think they chose arthroscopic shoulder surgery over microfracture knee surgery.

I think it was more like Sharper giving interest to the Jets over the Jets showing interest in Sharper. There were 2 separate instances where Sharper said something to the effect that he'd like to play for NY.
