No that is bass ackwards. How the hell is it in defense of Brad Smith that since he dropped the ball, how dare the coaches make that decision? The fact Brad dropped the ball should be in defense of the decision by the coaches. The made a great call, gutsier than all hell, and it worked. Sanchez made a great pass, hit Brad in the hands, and brad drops an easy ball and the game changes. If Brad catches it, we might go right down the field score and be up 14, and put the game away. His drop turned the game, not the play call. For the record, I hated the idea of going for it at that spot on the field. but they did. When they did, the call worked and the execution failed yet again like it has all season.
1) WRs drop balls. Wow unbelievable! I know we are all pissed when it happens but it's part of the game. 2) This is Cotchery's first bad season... I think 1 bad season after two extremely productive ones is excusable. That said I think he should be the #3 WR and the PR even when Leonhard gets back... I love him as a PR.
When you don't get the reps, it's hard to get in a rhythm. I still like Cotchery as a #2 for this team next year. You need a solid possession guy to go along with either Holmes or Edwards (whoever stays around). Cotchery should be that guy, but I just get the feeling he gets forgotten more often than not in practice.
I can't believe with all the great years Cotch has given us that people are so quick to want to throw him to the trash? I,for one, NEVER want to see Cotch wear another uniform. The guy has been solid except for a few games this season so I think killing him off is very premature.
OK so who's our #3 WR? The guy that dropped the pass that hit him right in the hands on the fake punt?
Cotch has had more than his share of drops this year, but there is no reason to ship Him off. He's still the best we have at #3, and better than most other teams have. I do have to question His PR skills. I can't ever remember him making a good return.
Don't be stupid. It's clearly Schottenheimer's fault for telling Sanchez not to pass to Edwards so he can look smarter. /everyone on TGG'd
I nominate this thread for the "English as a Second Language" thread: No capitalization: No comment needed: Phonetic speller: Didn't hear about the invention of the apostrophe: Uddaly?:
Wow. I thought he has done an excellent job back there considering the changes we have been making. He's no Devin Hester, but he has been much much better than anyone back there in the last two years. He averaged around 10 YPR last year. That is pretty good.
We should get Cotcherty to help the op with spelling. I mean, if he's not going to produce at WR... Now WAITASEKET
It was a short punt and probably had to stretch to catch the punt. He didn't want to risk a fumble Im guessing. Can't think of anything else, but that's the best answer I could come up with.
