Actually (and this is to everyone) when Coleman has been used in zone coverage, hes been very good, particularly in flats. Its man-to-man when he fails.
The god thing with Cole is that he has blazing speed, so if he does screw up, he might be able to correct it. But for me, I do not want him on the field in regular coverage. Please
Well it was Rex who said something to the effect of "If they say you're a zone corner, it means you aren't a good cornerback and can't cover" I hope I'm wrong, but if Coleman has extended time on the field next week Peyton is going to find him and pick him apart again and again.
Rex likes man corners. Does he know how to use zone corners? The 3rd DB is always going to have a hard time, that said Cutler ripped apart Cro as well
Cole has impressed me the last couple of games, I would like to see him in there more. An have Coleman on passing downs with the blitz, Kids our best pass rusher
Cole has been playing more. He was in the area on the steelers last play making it tough for miller to catch the ball. Cole may seem like he's starting to get it. I've always liked Wilson. He just Needs time.
That is a fantastic question I think your automatic three should be Revis, Cro, and Wilson. Cole had two like punt return INTs today he played well but not enough to crack the "2 deep" so to speak
I wouldn't really take todays game as too much of a measuring stick. It was against Brain fucking Brohm. The depth chart will remain as it was IMO.
1. Revis 2. Cromartie 3. Coleman 4. Wilson 5. Cole ..is what it will be I'd rather have Coleman and Wilson switch though. Because of this:
It was against Steve Johnson. Wilson did a great job covering him, but he's not a nickel corner. He just doesn't know how to read routes and react to receivers coming out of the slot. I doubt Wilson moves up the depth chart because of his performance but we should all have a lot of confidence in our starting CB tandem when/if Cro isn't asked to come back. Indianapolis delenda est.
I'm confident in saying the Jets have the best secondary in the NFL. It all boils down to what kind of pass rush we see. If there is any semblance of the rush we saw today against Buffalo, the D will be dangerous. I fear that Peyton will pick us apart though if we blitz the crew and they max-protect.
