I have a site in my history that won't go away even when i clear it. I have the latest norton. any idea why this is and why it won't go away? Thanks in advance.
Cleared your temp folder and Internet cache folder. Norton sucks btw. Download ccleaner via cnet, it'll remove everything. Go with the Gutman cleaning.
I can't get this fucking Antvira or Anti Vi malware off my computer. Malwarebytes detects it and quarantines it and it comes back. any ideas?
Start in safemode then run malwarebytes from there... should work. Check and see if it's in your system start up too.
that's the thing, I don't know how to do safe mode from an HP... it says to mash f8 but it doesnt work.
I just restored to 2 weeks prior to be safe. Re-scanned with Malware, found nothing. Thanks pats. Thanks TGD, much appreciated. I only lived in 'Cuse for the duration of college. I live in Bergen County, NJ now. We should hit up a game at the dome sometime maybe...
Thanks. yeah,i'm not gonna get Norton again once it runs out. I'll go with MSE. Even ccleaner wouldn't get this thing off my history. it was a guitar tab site that i had never used before. I ended up going to indexing and that did the trick.
My XP disc has been badly damaged ........Is there somewhere in the microsoft cosmos where I can download windows XP home edition (I have a product key).
You can probably find it on a torrent but those usually carry a poisonous payload as well. I would really consider upgrading to win7 if it were my machine.
Cheers Cman, yeah I don't think I would have been that desperate ...yet. Money is just so tight now and luckily for me, a friend has a copy shes willing to let me have.
You all got any solutions for Firefox... I have one addon only and while visiting websites my firefox freezes up for about 10-15 seconds... Addon is Adblock btw....I have no other addons...
I know this post was from eons ago but yea, system restores are a lifesaver for me, I have used them on several occasions.
I have an issue with youtube videos and their website now...if i go on the site the adobe flash crashes and literally freezes my Firefox and IE. What can i do?
