I may agree with one or two of your points, but since nothing you say matters, shut up.

Mike "I'm a man, I'm forty" Gundy from Oklahoma State. He knows offense.

You don't like a thread, don't post in it. Nobody forces you to read these threads either. You need to reel yourself in PDQ. Consider yourself warned.

Would anyone be interested in Urban Meyer? he is under major scrutiny in the NCAA and if his Ohio State team fails I could see him trying the NFL.

I'm not suggesting that I want him, I just want to bring his name up. It wouldnt shock me if Marty is next in line either, these GM's and Owners want offensive coaches now.

You really have to piss Cman off to make him double post.

Would love Gruden! He also has a good relationship with Idzik.

My candidate would be Jay Gruden, like his brother but even better.

Funny you should say this. I was thinking along those lines too. If Idzik is as methodical as he's portrayed, then w/o an extension already in place for Ryan, why not hedge your bet by having a coordinator on staff who's already been a HC in a big market. If MM's system is even marginally successful this season, that only increases MM's stock should the big chair suddenly become available. MM may have been Ryan's choice, but I get the feeling that Idzik couldn't have been happier with the choice especially if at season's end, Idzik is given the freedom to either extend Rex or bring in "his guy".

There's more to being a head coach than knowing one side of the ball

Rex cant manage games, makes dumb decisions and is not a true leader

He's one of the guys instead of the boss which is why he fits in with Woody

Which Gruden? Chucky (Jon) had Idzik fired in Tampa Bay because he wanted his own guy brought in from Oakland. Jay on the other hand is a fine offensive mind.

Yeah...the Sparano hire was the start of a "spectacular" year. The Tebow thing worked out great as well. Dave DeGuglielmo lasted over a year...so there's that.
Then there was the tattoo thing...that was cool. The way he managed the qb's at the end of the year was fucking awesome too.

I'm having trouble thinking of more spectacular things that Rex did last year.
Oh yeah..he had us in the "thick of the playoff race"...right? LOL

So go ahead "expert"...tell me what was so "spectacular" about Ryan's 2012 season.

Getting Sanchez hurt is a "spectacular" start to this season.

I was thinking Jon but now that you mention it, maybe both of 'em! Jon as HC, Jay as OC.
