Yeah, but it was what? His first NFL game pass? His 2nd? He didnt play in Tampa and even if he did, it was only 1 play.

Maybe pick Zach Rodgers back up? Small and quick, had a string of bad luck...really bad luck.

    I dont know...

His real name is Edmond. I will no longer refer to him as Clyde because Clyde is much cooler than Edmond. Edmond doesn't deserve to be called Clyde.

    Edmond Gates sucks.

I couldn't help but think we'd have won if Braylon was here...

Idk why, um maybe because he made big plays against the Pats?
    How about Cotchery?

No, Lets keep letting guys go who actually earn their money...

Edmund fukin Gates... (Spelling w/a "U" Flash... )

There is no point is having a young, speedy receiver if he can NOT catch the ball!

I'm with you. Gates and Hill lost the game for us singlehandedly. Braylon would have held onto some of those passes.

Hell, any one of those deep throws would have changed the outcome of the game had they not been dropped/fumbled.

I never understood why we have held onto this guy for so long. He has never proven to be more than average at best. Sign Braylon back, cut this bum.

2010 wasn't last year. Last time Braylon made a big play vs the Pats. I know we all try to black out 2012 but it happened, so did 2011. :)

A 4th or 5th WR who can get open and return kicks vs a 4th or 5th wide receiver who can't get open as easily who can't play ST. Hmmm. Hill and Spoedala had dropsies too, so our WR coach needs to step it up.

First Sparano, now Gates. You'd think the Jets FO/CS would have learned something by now right....

Yeah Gates was terrible last night but I still think he has talent and can be useful. He's just not a guy you should be passing the ball as much to. He should be a solid number 4.

I have said time and time again Gates is trash I would take my chances with someone else. Someone who catch balls and return punts

He's dead as far as I'm concerned.

    I'm calling him Pearly Gates.

Spadola dropped one pass but he was roughed up after getting good separation and making the play. But in his position he has to hold onto the ball. He might not get that many chances if he doesn't. As for Gates he has speed but can't catch. Which is probably the reason the Dolphins released him. Why not use him on punt returns. He's better than Kyle Wilson.
