I'm really hoping for that! Nothing against Hartsock but if we can free his 1.2 mill and a roster spot it'll be great. I'm really hoping for Mulligan to take his spot... he has more ST value, same measurables (6'4" 260lbs), costs less and maybe doesn't get in the way on running plays. Hartsock is a pretty good blocking TE though... I hope Mulligan can get to his level after two years with him. Has the strength to do it...
Hartsock is solid at blocking..but I actually believe Mulligan is a better blocker. Hartsock holds onto his position based solely on his game day experience and tenure as a regular in offensive formations.
Well the good news is that in the new/1st CBA proposal, the NFL owners want to extend the roster to 54 and add a few more spots to the practice squad....
Howard Green is gonna be needed to add some beef up front against the run-heavy Vikings. There was no reason to have Turner on the team anymore. Clowney either really.
i think its a week to week thing (like balt did with pryce) and since were facing the vikes and AP next week we wanted the extra lineman (green) so turner was out since he is the last man on the depth chart, and since holmes is coming back clowney is out. now we only have 4 WRs on the roster (BE, holmes, Cochery, Smith) but its a very strong 4
Agreed. Besides, at this point we're going to have Holmes, Edwards and Cotchery as receivers, Keller will be the tight end, and LT in on passing plays. Brad Smith is the depth at receiver at this point. More than likely he'll only be in on Seminole formations and garbage time at receiver.
Would love to see that, but I think he retired after the Jets cut him in the preseason. He said he didn't want to be a journeyman player and didn't really need the money.
Why does anyone want any other wide receivers in here? We have two #1s, a #2, and a TE and RB who are above average at their positions in the passing game. Then we have Brad Smith as a depth option. We don't need any more receivers taking up roster spots.
So long as we have enough bodies on special teams. That's two out and neither Holmes nor Green will play specials.
