You're kidding with this post? Dallas is likely to be a 14 win team. Almost every team in the NFL gets blown out in Dallas in that situation. We have 6 losses because of awful QB play along with other issues. Better QB play and this team has 4 to 6 wins. Pennington was outright awful this year and Clemens has had a few glimpses but for the most part has also been awful. We are 2 and 8 in large part because of awful QB play. At least with Clemens, a lot of it is to be expected.
This team is a 5 & 6 team because of the D, it's 2 & 9 because our QB play is among the worst in the league.
Chad wasn't AWEFUL as you stated...he had NO support and was constantly put in bad field positions. YES he threw interceptions, but he was trying to make something happen!
The guy played himself out of the league with a QB behind him that the HC didn't want to play. He was awful, not his fault because of injury but he was awful.
I can't argue that the O has been great, it clearly HAS NOT......but our DEFENSE has totally let us down except for the STEELERS game
I actually saw the defense play hot and cold yesterday. They made some good plays and some bad ones, had some good drives and some bad ones. We lost as an overall team effort but we lost badly because the Jets have nobody who holds onto the ball well right now, no consistent blocking in the run game or pass protection and a young QB who is too inconsistent to mitigate the other flaws. Chad would have gotten destroyed by the Steelers and the Cowboys. I've seen Clemens take 3 or 4 hits in the last 3 weeks that probably would have retired number 10.
With his salary, it's a near certainty he will be elsewhere. Josh McCown or Jim Sorgi might be signed in free agency to backup Clemens in 2008.

Tough question, I think this team has a lot of work to do to figure out who we resign on the current roster, what they can get for Vilma and Pennington if anything, how much they can resign DRob for? who we cut and how much cap we can clear and what FA's we can get before the draft. A lot depends on where we pick and if they believe in a QB who will be available over Clemens. If They believe in Clemens after the season than a trade down might make sense? We have a ton of real needs. NT, A pass rushing end or OLB, RT, LG, RG, WR and maybe QB. This team isn't exactly loaded.
