I would see if Nick Saban is ready to come back to the NFL and give him complete control.

Tom Heckert is likely to be fired in Cleveland by their new regime. He's done a good job of getting talent into Cleveland and would be a good choice.

Hearing the #Jets are infatuated with the idea of Norv Turner replacing Sparano as the offensive coordinator. #nyj

    That's GREAT news!

What's odd about it is, wouldn't a new GM choose his OC? Maybe that decision is already made behind the scenes?

Slightly off topic, but I'm wondering:

Do the Jets (or any other team) actively put out leaks like this?

WTF is a matter with Woody. Is he that brain dead when it comes to football? He should be contacting all the best teams in the league and looking at their coaching staffs for the soon to be new Jets regime. Norv and Cameron are recycled retreads and Clinkscales doesn't inspire any confidence.

Either get a proven GM (Polian) or find a young, up and coming FO guy from one of the better ogranizations.

Woody's an f'in billionaire and he can't figure this out. Geez.

Norv has an excellent record as an OC. Cameron is a step down...

Saban has a young BB written all over him. He had his first fu in Miami. I would hire him in a second to come here.

Hell fucking yes. Norv should show the team the mid 90s Cowboys blue-print, I mean after all he was there ... Good all around team. With Rex and Norv, I think can get us to another level. Cam is a big time step down.

Fair enough, Norv as an OC I'll take. But honest question: Didn't the Chargers offense underperform miserably under Norv's watch for much of his tenure?

If Saban had gotten his way and got Brees instead of Culpepper he would still be coaching in Miami right now.

You may have to wait for a bunch of sanctions against Alabama for some recruiting violations before Saban is willing to leave what he has going their. He's dominating college football right now, I think it's going to be tough to pry him away from that ...

The offense went to shit pretty fast when players started leaving the Chargers and they didn't replace them. LT, VJ, the offensive line especially. AJ Smith sucks as a GM and Norv sucks as a HC. I guess they thought Rivers was Peyton Manning

I would love to see Woody take a serious run at him. I think this organization needs some serious descipline and Saban would bring it. I also wouldn't mind Mangini brought back as HC if Saban wanted him.
