I do agree that we do need another free agent receiver. I wouldn't mind picking up Troy Brown for 1 year.

If these players are still availiable I would sign any of these players at least to try out for the team or to a 1 year deal to add alittle more experienced depth to the receiver core Troy Walters, Marcus Robinson, Koren Robinson, David Givens, Keenan McCardell, Aaron Morehead, Peerless Price, and Eric Moulds.

So I asked Mangini which quarterback has the biggest book. I wasn?t trying to make a double entendre, honest.

?I don?t know if size totally matters,? Mangini deadpanned.

at this point, we're going to hear lots of people claim chad will start. but, you heard the coach say that size doesn't matter.

guess that means the guy who throws the most ducks is still quacking......

that's exactly the point- usually, he can't. all those picks last year with games on the line got him benched.

I don't know that Kellen is bothered less by no pass blocking than Chad is.

I think that Chad's passing is more affected by the wind than Kellen's balls are.

But given the opportunity, both these QBs will adjust and do the job. Chad proved this today, according to Cimini.

And Kellen will prove it when the live bullets start flying.

Personally, I like both these QBs, and believe we are lucky to have them. They act so maturely in what, on any other team, would be a debacle competition of egos.

Both these guys want to play so badly, yet they are not willing to forego their collaboration to make the other guy better if they can.

    Class acts.

The OL had better step up and do their jobs so that they can deserve to stay on the same field with these skill players who've been asked to pull magic rabbits out of their hats by impatient myopic fans for too long.

I sure hope Tangini didn't beef up our O-line with the express idea that now Chad can lead us to the promised land.

Problem is: You can give Chad all day back there, but that still doesn't enable him to throw a 15-yard out pattern - or a hard slant, or a deep pass that must fit in a tight window, one that isn't lofted sky high like a 9-iron - that won't get picked off 9 times out of 10 for a Defensive TD.

  6. I promise you the decision to beef up the Ol was not made solely as a pro CP type conspiracy. the move was made b/c we were NEVER gonna get better as a franchise until we added some talented veterans up front.

Al toon 88, if you don't like Chad, then no OL in the world is going to change your mind.

    I get that.

But, the CS will determine over the long off-season haul who wins this competition. I couldn't care less who does, because I believe they will be the best judges of the situation.

If you think there is anyone out there available in free agency that can run the NYJ Schotty offense as well as Chad and Kellen then you are just whistling Dixie, and I myself have sworn off that particular sector forever more.

I note that certain misled people on this Message Board have lauded the alternative of Mr. Dante Culpepper. However, his body has been ruined and his spirit has been mauled. He can't stay on anyone's roster at the moment. Why, in your desperate hours, would you turn to such a decimated alternative?

Well, at least the CS of the NYJ haven't reached that point yet.

    Here's hoping they don't.

They have gone out of their way, the NYJ CS, to annoint this QB competition (controversial though it is with the fandom) as their chosen strategy.

If I have any faith in them (as Woody obviously does with his opened wallet), then this rather high-profile move needs to be supported for what they say it is. So, I do.

Seriously, though, the CS is much more concerned about the NYJ lack of respect on the line of scrimmage (both sides).

And this concern gives me cause for hope.

Checkdown Clemens. All he does is dink and dunk.

See, I can troll and make stupid comments too.
