If gholston falls i would be pumped, but I agree: mckelvin doesn't really matchup to the CB's in my opinion. if mckelvin is there, trade down to get him

I think that the Pats will take him or Cromartie at No. 7, if we don't. No. 06 without Gholston or McFadden to pick is an expensive lonely place to be for the vast majority of NFL teams. The NYJs should take the BPA for their needs here, regardless.
I'd probably say McKelvin is essentially Revis without the ball skills for intercepting and perhaps a bit more athletic. I'd put him at least ahead of Hall as a prospect and possibly Ross as well. The fact of the matter is just that after the top 5 or 6 guys in this draft, the talent pool is very even for the next 15-20 guys and we may get screwed by this. Someone like McKelvin is in this group and in this class, he could just as easily go #6 to us as he could go #19 to Philly. We really get screwed on a talent-vs.-pick basis if one of Gholston, Ryan, the Longs, or McFadden aren't there at our pick. Honestly, I say we try to trade down if our guy isn't there, even at a discount. It'll be easier on the purse and get us more picks in the 2nd or 3rd in this deep talent pool. For example, if Denver, Cincy, or Detroit want to trade up to us for a top DT like Ellis or Dorsey (if still there), we can trade down and grab Cromartie, possibly McKelvin, or Jenkins with our pick if we really want a CB in round 1.
