No. This is worse. Much worse. There's no "competitive rebuild" to be had. The wheels have fallen off. The team/franchise is completely broken. Prepare for a Browns esqu down period before the resurgence begins late 10's early 20's.
Can someone tell me why there is such angst over this particular loss? Most of the team is on IR, our coach was hospitalized yesterday, we have a QB who doesn't know how to get rid of the football and we were playing the Pats. Did anyone expect anything different?
Eh the Browns didn't want to be embarassed by having that 0-16, of course they were going to try. If they were 1-whatever it's much harder to find something to play for. If you want to compare and contrast to anyone else just look in Buffalo and how hard they're trying for Rex, nobody knows how to play the 'word on the street is they're going to fire me' card better than he.

because there professional athletes paid very well to give EFFORT 100% ALONE!!! and this teams not doing that!!! and EVERY WEEK THEY GIVE LESS THAN 100% as fans who buy jet merchandise or PAY to watch games we SHOULD CALL THEM OUT FOR IT
Idc if it's only year 2. He has done nothing to adjust and have this team looked prepared the last two months, and entire season in general. Going for 3 down 41-0 was the final straw for me TBH.
fans always care more than the players - the players care first and foremost about not getting injured, then about getting paid, then about performing (so that they keep getting paid or get paid more), then finally about winning (with a side order of that leading to them continuing to get paid).
