There are videos of every pass Wilson has made for each of the two games. Check it out and let us know where Carter was open and was a better option than who Wilson threw it too.
I don't know for a fact, but I think Carter may be called upon to stay in a block on a lot of pass plays to give Zack a bit more protection....maybe leak out to the flat as a check valve if no one blitzes? But I don't know if LeFleur sends Carter to run routs much on passing downs. Carter would probably have a better shot at catching a pass on early downs vs 3rd. Just my take. Are there official stats on how often a RB goes out on routs (vs staying in to block)?
So this isn’t Wilson’s fault either? Does he do anything wrong? How was Michael Carter open so much with the other QBs but not him? Does Michael Carter secretly dislike Wilson and is trying to sabotage him?
Instead of answering the question you give a sarcastic answer. There can be a lot of reason Instead what you stated.
I don’t know the answer though. If you look, I am the one who posed it initially. Why does Wilson not find Michael Carter? He was awesome in the receiving game in the games Wilson was hurt. It’s such a stark contrast with the other QBs
He does plenty wrong but that doesn't mean he does everything wrong. I'm the first one to admit that I am not an expert of football. Far from it. But you make me look like a football savant.
A lot of reasons. -Early season games Carter hadn’t broken through the rookie wall, and neither had Wilson for that matter. Carter also had 2 drops in that stretch. -Of those 5 games 23 completions, 17 came in just 2 games with White… which is on pace for 144 catches… which would probably lead the league in receptions. Not sustainable. White can’t throw deep, all he can really do is endlessly check it down. So in the Josh Johnson and Flacco games, He had just 2 catches total. -Upon Wilson returning, Carter missed 3 games, and then was eased into the MIA game on a lesser snap count. So really he has been back with Wilson post injuries for about 1.5 games, 1 of which the Jets had well over 200 rush yards and a 100 yard KR for TD so there weren’t a lot of receptions to be had. -Also Wilson can actually throw deep passes down the field.
