If anything the Chiefs have underachieved all season. They have talen galore on both sides of the ball and had to back their way into the postseason. Outside of a 6 game stretch in the middle of the season they have not played up to expectations. That goes on the coach.
I am cheering for the Colts big time today. Not because I hate Herm, which I do, but these 2 reasons: 1. Colts at Ravens would be a great game. 2. I would rather the Jets play the Chargers, than the Ravens.
KC has little talent on the defensive side, and on offense they were playing without Trent Green and 2 of their huge contributors on the offensive line. And they were in the best division in football. I'm not saying we should give Herm coach of the year, but he certainly did a better job there than he did in New York when we were up against the wall with injuries. Back to the game, give the Chiefs defense credit for holding steady on the goal line.
So early in the game I think it was a good call to take the 3. You don't want to give the Chiefs momentum unneccesarily. If the Colts didn't have such a great offense I would agree with you, but they will be back in the redzone before long. BTW outstanding tackle by Jackson there.
Considering the Chiefs played their best football without Trent Green that argument is not convincing. And their defense has been carrying the offense for a large part of this year. It shows in the game so far.
Exactly. If the Chiefs defense made a goal line stand, it could've pumped up the whole team and gotten the offense going. Jordan Black is no Willie Roaf, that's for certain.
