No, typos occur when two letters are right next to one another on the keyboard or when you accidentally type a letter ahead of where it is supposed to be. Considering a and e aren't next to one another on the keyboard, it clearly isn't a typing error and is not knowing how to spell; kind of the way you don't know how to think if you don't grasp what causes typos and how to identify them from spelling ignorance.
