The Jets had their best offensive season when Weis had his playcalling duties stripped from him. The Patriots had their best offensive seasons after Weis left. Don't get me wrong, he's a solid coordinator and one of the better available guys on the market. But let's stop pretending that he's some kind of mastermind; if I had a choice between Schottenheimer and Weis, I'd probably stick with Schotty just to avoid Weis' ego.
