If I remember correctly he had "In Saban we trust" as his sig in 2005-2006. He is becoming Raiderjeaux-ish in his inability to think clearly about his team.

I have no plans on getting rid of my Vilma jersey. I have some Canes jerseys, and i understand that the player will be gone and graduated even after i purchase the jersey.

So, personally, I dont get the whole preoccupation with having to get rid of a jersey. Wearing it associates you with being a fan at a certain point in time.

Wearing the jersey of an athlete who skipped town within the past 20 years is saying you shop at the Salvation Army. (Unless he's a legend, of course. Favre, Namath, guys bigger than the team they leave, not Chad)

Wow...just wow. I never thought he'd get that much on the open market.

They definitely made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Still sux though.

I wonder if the FO messed up giving him free range.

let us not forget the contracts that Parcells gave to Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones on their way out

"Noodle-Arm" was his famed quote for Chad...

But all Chad did was beat Miami.

Chad as a starter against Miami was like 7-2. Maybe since they always see him beat Miami they think he's great.

It showed me that the Jets had a little more respect for Chad than the Packers did for Favre, they gave him an unconditional release to make his own decisions. I have no problem with showing respect to players who gave everything they had and now its time to be shown the door.

This really stings. Chad was one of my favorite Jets. I can't really root for him now, and I wanted to keep giving him his due as an all around good guy.

Maybe after he retires I can respect him again.

Darelle Revis and Kerry Rhodes just added 4 picks to their season totals. They are going to eat up the short outs.

Some of them are specifically referencing that as a reason why he's going to be great for them. One guy said - he threw for three td's and ran for one against us! Well yeah, your defense was fucking awful.

Chad is an upgrade for them at QB so I don't blame the fins for making the move. Let's go pound him week 1.

Doesn't Parcells hate players that can't stay healthy?

I look at things differently. I KNOW I didnt buy it at the Salvation Army, so i dont worry that people will think that. If they do, they'd be wrong.

Chances are the people who will even notice if you are wearing it are going to be Pennington fans or Jet fans. As for those other people who you think are thinking about where you shop, they just see it as a football jersey.

And CP didnt "skip town", he was released. Isht happenes. They just replayed his phone call on SNY and he is all class. Said he really enjoyed NY, really enjoyed the Jets, his family enjoyed Long Island, and he feels blessed.

I like to think that's why they did it, and appreciate the sentiment; although I'm not so sure that the trade happened so fast that they didn't have time to do otherwise due to cap concerns.

It may have been dick for Green Bay to tell Burt where to go, but it just makes good business sense. The fact that he is getting almost $6 mil./year just shows that we could have gotten something in return.

This is what makes it even tougher to root for your team. I still cant get past the sight of Scott Gomez in a ranger jersey

It is really too bad he went to a division rival but he is going to an organization with a high football i.q who should be decent in 2-3 years. Too bad he signed a 2 year contract.

I really hope the boos don't rain down on him at the home dolphin game. Last years shameful injury display was bad enough. He doesn't deserve that. I agree he was done last year, and we should have gone with KC, but the guy gave his all for green and white. Dolphin or not he doesn't deserve to get booed out of the building.

I hope it doesn't turn out like that but I have a feeling it will be ugly.
