The leadership is not contested, nor is his presence and what he brought to the team. But looking into the present and future its his ability on the field that is highly in question.
You have got to be kidding. This is the true essence of Chad Fan love, though, and for you we should be thankful. The ridiculousness of your post obviously starts with the fact that those are not the criteria that should be used to pick a starting Qb. A boyfriend, perhaps...
I know I'm in the minority here, but if the QB competition is close I would like to see Chad be the starter. Reason being, if he has a really productive year and management still sees KC as the heir apparent, then Chad's trade value would be very high. KC would have yet another year to get ready to be the starter in '09. So if neither of them really separate themselves from the other in training camp, I think the benefits of having Chad start are worth the risk. This is only if there is no clear cut winner in the QB battle. Obviously, if KC makes a great case for himself, then he should start.
I think Kellen will beat out Pennington for the job this year. He went 3-5 behind the pathetic line last year while chad was 1-7 behind the same line. Now with a solid line they will have a running game that the opponent will fear. I really think Clemens can have the type of year Chad had 2 years ago when we were in the playoffs.
I don't agree. This year is basically it for Clemens imo. If he's not ready to be the starter and win some games I don't think he will ever be.
If Clemens can't beat out a washed up has been like Pennington, he should be cut and sent packing along with Mangini and Tannenbaum. It is inexcusable to go into this season with Chadwick behind center.
