    Question:

So far, in this off season, does Sanchez seem different to you ? Does he seem like he's putting in more effort ? Does he seem like he's trying harder ?

Of course, even if your answer is "Yes", we can't truly know the cause. Is it the "Tebow effect?" Is it Sanchez just naturally growing and maturing as a person and a player ? Is it because missing the playoffs this past year have provided some extra motivation ?

The only people that could honestly answer that question would be people in the Jets facility. From an outsiders perspective there's nothing we've seen or could possibly have seen to indicate Sanchez has acted any differently this off season than previously. He could very well be putting in more effort or trying harder but there's no way we could even know if he were. That's precisely why this guy saying Sanchez is inspired is 100% bullshit. Him inviting a backup QB/utility player to Jets West is par for the course. He's basing the "inspiration" on the fact that Sanchez didn't leave Tebow out?

Based on reports from previous seasons he's always been a first guy in last guy out gym rat type of worker anyway.

No, it was pretty lame, typical stuff. I chuckled to see you draw so much bother out of it.

But I guess that's what I meant by "moves the needle in every way." He tends to get under people's skin more than he should. In this case yours.

Like you said, we can't know but reports I have read this year are very similar to reports in the past so the media hasn't noticed a marketable difference

Again, look at it from a wider perspective/point of view. This IS the Matt Sanchez who has never had any competition. This IS the Matt Sanchez who had a fit when Brunell got practice snaps during the season.

What the writer said is that he sees a Sanchez that appears to be INSPIRED by the "competition", not one who is THREATENED by it.

What gets under my skin is the retarded media making baseless claims because of Tebow and his cult followers flocking in to lather in the glory of said bullshit and attempt to stave off any detractors.

I'm sure Tebow is a great teammate and I think he's a good football player. It's the gay shit that comes with him that's annoying.

First of all, it's Mark Sanchez. I know you're too busy gazing at your Tebow posters to take in the starting QB's name, but give it a try. Secondly, what exactly is it that the author of the bullshit article has seen that is showing Sanchez appears to be inspired? That's the point - there is nothing. It's Tebow so Sanchez must be inspired!!1!

My apologies, I mixed the names up. Matt Sanchez is a conservative blogger than I have followed for some time.

Man, your seeming hatred of Tebow is blinding you rather badly for you to be so hung up on this article.

The article is innocuous. It points out that Sanchez seems to be inspired as opposed to threatened to Tebow being on the team.

Yet somehow you manage to take that as a negative and are getting all bent out of shape about it.

While humorous, it's also distressingly sad.

I don't think there's much to be concluded from Tebow going to the Jets West event. As you said, all the skill players are invited. Skip Bayless said today that Sanchez had to invite him -- the story would have been huge if he had not. So nothing to really see.

That deafening silence is the vast, vast majority of people (Tebow fans and not) concluding very little from it. Other than "seems to be going well." Or Tebow's a positive teammate. Or Sanchez is performing just fine under the situation.

When a couple of posts on the internet make you feel like you've been exposed to a cult, it's time to take a break from the keyboard. No big deal here.

The dickweed was doing fine with his boring, pointless article until he decided for no reason Sanchez must be inspired.

Again, you've missed the plot. The line was included to refute the notion that Sanchez would crumble under the threat of Tebow.

You also seem to be hung up on "inspired" and might have a misunderstanding of the way it is being used here.

Is this what we have to look forward to this season? If sanchez plays well we'll have to read dickhead articles crediting the tebow effect inspiration?

By "inspired" I think he means "motivated" as opposed to threatened. I don't think he means "inspired by the desire to be more like Tebow." He just means positive effect as opposed to becoming a basket case.

Which, it's far to early to tell on. I swear the NFL prognostication starts earlier every year. Peyton had an interview on NFL 32 tonight, and he was like "I've never been asked about incompletions in practice before."

It feels like interest level is cranked up.

    Who knows ? Maybe so.

As a Jets fan, is it worth that price if the Jets win a SB >???

I don't care if it takes tebow sacrificing sanchez on a cross stuck on the goal posts if it means they win a ring.

Exactly. A person can "inspire" you and cause you to try and emulate them, BUT, you can also be "inspired" by a challenge.

Saw a funny bit after the first Jets OTAs where they had the Allen Iverson "It's just PRACTICE" vid queued up.

That's the thing -- does that really worry you? It feels like some folks can't stand the thought of it.

WHO CARES?! The key word in that sentence was "wins."
