haha i was going to post the same exact BS... what is up with that aweful article. we clearly controlled that game from start to finish and we got "Lucky" fuck them.
If you look at an entire season you will likely find several plays across games where a little less or a little more luck is going to change the entire outlook of a season. So after three games we are 1-2 and one particular play kept us from being 0-3. So what? When we finish this season we will be able to say that one way or the other, in terms of winning and losing. You never see these guys writing about being one play away from being 3-0. They like to focus on what can be perceived as a negative. It helps sells their bullshit. The fact is we are 1-2, not 0-3. We still have plenty of games left to see what this team is made of.
if it's BS, why would it force them to step it up? anyone who thinks the Jets couldn't have easily lost the Miami game, and thus could be 0-3 if they had, is fooling themselves. if that's the case, how many of you weren't sweating at the end because it was impossible for the Dolphins to win. if you were as nervous as I was, you inherently believed they could have lost, thus you can't logically find fault with this article.
really? the Dolphins seemed to clearly control that 4th quarter to me, unless by control from start to finish you only mean up until the 3rd quarter. the rest of the football playing world, though, counts the 4th quarter as part of the game.
Yeah, people who say shit like this reporter did are just flat out stupid and dont understand how "REALITY" works. If you change one play during the middle of game im pretty sure that this will alter the ENTIRE rest of the game. How can you change 1 play and not have that effect the rest of the game? The only way you can say something like this is if your talking about the final play of the game (ie, a missed fieldgoal at the last second) in which there are no further events after the play. I guess if Nug hadnt been hurt and we kicked that fieldgoal instead of throwing the TD every event after that would have still occurred the same way as it did....... This guy is a boob!
the bs is in the fact that people are now trying to portray the jets as lucky when the exact thing chad did to miami is exactly what he used to do to the jets. the jets would be that close to making the play to win and chad would blow it. that is the bs. miami was not winning that game. pennington teased miami like he did us. i liek chad, and i think he's a somewhat above average quarterback, but he does not win games. he just doesn't lose them.
The point about "changing a single play" was lame, but the more general point, imo, is that the Jets barely won the first game and lost the next two in dismal fashion.
Thank you. Every game can be a what if scenario. The point of the article is that the Jets barely beat the Dolphins, could have been 0-3, and haven't played well this year. I simply don't see the BS in that.
I agree, not any real BS there. Although it should also be added it was the CS going prevent at the end that unnecessarily made the fish game closer than it should have been.
