where do you rank Robertson on our defense.. because for 10 million $s he should be one of the best players on this team. Vilma is a top 5 mlb in the ntire Nfl . can you say the same about the 10 million doller man?

Lets face it, DR gets abused in the 3-4. He was blown off the ball all day yesterday. From section 323 where you can really see the blocks develope (if nothing else) he just got swallowed over and over again. I barely remember them calling his name yesterday. At this point I am leaning towards bust but hoping against hope for a breakout game or two this year.

Was he worth the 4th overall pick? Obviously not. And I have always been a supporter of Robertson. I think we should consider moving him to defensive end in the 3/4. He simply is not a nose tackle.

There was no fried chicken and gravy on The Netherlands chow line this summer. The man is clearly out of sinc. Let's put the blame squarely where it belongs.

yeah im pretty sure the chargers drafted cromartie with their 1st pick because of how well the guy played in college. you know, being a backup and then a year later missing the entire season with a knee injury etc etc

DRob was traded up for and taken 4th to be a playmaking DT in the mold of Warren Sap. They guy for what ever reason has rarely been a diruptive playmaker in the mold of Sap and with the drafting of Vilma is usually a liability to this D. He is also being paid like one of the top 5 defensive players in the league. It was a bad pick plan and simple. Hopefully in a reduced role he will find a way to make us a better team or he will be gone.

bingo. do you know what he's playing right now? nose tackle.

he was one of the best interior linemen in the nfl in 04 when we had a solid defense.

why dont you guys just prove it already? first of all they say he was one of our best paid players and now all of a sudden he becomes one of the highest paid d# player in the entire nfl..

Warren Sap year 2 9 sacks, year 3 10.5 sacks, year 4 7 sacks followed by 12.5 and than 16.5 sacks.

D'Rob year 2 3 sacks, year 3, 3.5 sacks year 4 so far ZERO SACKS.

    Ballhawk.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?

    Is DR a Good NT?

is DR a Good 1st round pick?

is DR a good pick for 3 Draft picks and 2 1sts?

You lost me - What's your point again?

You act as if the guy is a cheap Walk-On player who cost us No Picks - No it's not his fault but, I'm sure he loves the checks he makes each week.

So, what the hell is you point?

That it's not fair to point out the obvious about him? That it's not his fault? That he's a pretty good player in the right system? That his knee is magically healing? That you are related to the guy?

I don't get it? The guy barely had 1 good year, cost us 3 picks and a ton of money and you're ok?

This would be like you're dad buying a 1980 Mercedes convertable billed as perfect condition and a collector's car for say $80,000 and then finding out the thing breaks down every time you use it....

THEN some dude "ballhawk" comes around and say's - Yeah, but, when it runs it's great AND it still is a Mercedes......

You see, WHAT you pay for something does change the perspective....

You're perspective is that DR is a FINE Mercedes while the rest if us see a broken down Lemon that might be a good value for the next owner if they can shine it up and find a hill to push it down.

You're out of your mond - Using your logic we can use 3 of our better picks every year for overrated Fat tubs of lard and be perfectly fine and compete for a Super Bowl.

If there's logic in your posts at all.... I'm reaching here.

D'Rob was in a position to rush the passer for 3 years and failed as a dirupter in the interior line.

And WHY???? Oh WHY would you bring Vilma - a A GREAT PLAYER who only cost 1 draft pick into this discussion of a degenerative knee, overrated Combine stud who cost 3 picks?

Come back to earth DUDE.
