Can we all agree David Barrett sucks?

It wasnt really the corners fault. Brady had literally allllllllllllll day to find a receiver. The receivers had all the time in the world to get open.

Why the hell was Miller on Moss???? Seriously, he is not a real corner, he's a kick returner.

The good news is that we got an awesome CB in Revis. The Patriots exposed every single weakness this team has, and to the fullest extent of it.

They only took two shots all game at Revis, and Revis shut it down both times.

The difference between Revis and Barrett is so visible. Revis closes on the receiver with amazing quickness and makes solid, sound tackling. Barrett on the other hand looks like a deer in headlights and responds to it as such when attempting the tackle too.

I agree, Barrett sucks, and we need Dyson back.

Most of the secondary wasn't bad under the circumstances, but Barrett looked like shit.

Nobody on defense has looked good by any means but David Barrett should have been out of a job years ago. He must have some sweetheart of a contract where he's just to affordable to let go because it can't be becuase of performance. He's my most hated Jet of all time. He's a complete detrement to the team.

Yea pretty much. We got no pressure on Brady the entire game. He probably sees more pressure then that in practice. It was sad that he could drop back and just stand there until someone got open. The fact that it took him 5-7 seconds to find an open man is a testament to how well our DB's actually played, and how horrible our D-line actually is.

They didn't play perfect, but they got absolutely no help up front what so ever.

Was Barrett the guy on Welker when he scored? That play was simply putrid. The DB had zero shot at the ball, yet he somehow figured out how to miss the tackle.

WTF? That was ridiculous. Can't miss that tackle. Turns out it didn't matter since the Patsies slapped us silly all day on both sides of the lines, but it was depressing to watch when it happened.

Barret looked awful, Miller is a joke. We simply were not competitive today...

Not sure how many of you guys will back Miller...not too long ago I got killed for blasting this guy as a CB...he is a KR and nothing more.

David Barrett is nothing more than a practice player that gets picked on when it counts. The only time he makes plays is when the opposition is in the red zone and are working with a shorter field. He's nothing more than a fourth corner not a starter.

Well, after he gave Welker a 5 yard cushion when he only needed 9 to score, they must have figured, he was up for a bigger challenge /sarcasm

We can now. I thought he was serviceable but now I think he stinks. Nor more short CBs!!

He was hurt, and i've read that he possibly reinjured his hammy. I was expecting more from him, but honestly i don't think he should have been out there at all. I am all for Drew Coleman or Hank Poteat next week. At least they won't give up a damn 10 yard cushion and STILL get burned. I am sick and tired of David Barrett.

Barret would be more useful on the field with a lead pipe. Then MAYBE he could tackle someone after knocking them out...If he can get close enough to knock them out in the first place.

Barrett can't tackle or cover. But Brady had enough time to pick his nose, scratch his ass and tie his shoes. Where was the pressure?

They were "max protecting" with extra guys. After the game, in an interview, Ellis said every time somebody had a chance to get to Brady he was doubled up on. We were damned if we do and damned if we don't. The only way to pressure Brady is to blitz, but then he just burns your ass with a dumpoff over their heads. Blitz and he kills you. Don't blitz and you get zero pressure. At several points, Brady just let Welker and Moss roam around the backfield with 2-3 DBs chasing them around until one of them finally got open.

The worst example was that one Moss TD where we had 3 DBs on him and Brady still had enough time to let him run up the right side, then cut over on a 45 and pull all those DBs behind him and he still caught it out in front of them. Brady had to have had many, many more seconds than average to complete this play, which is evidence of how little pressure we brought. The guy literally had as much time as he wanted.

We didn't control either Lines of Scrimmage, period, and that's where the problem lies. Having said that, Yes, Barret still sucks and I never want him on the field again.

Does anyone remember the word team?

First game of the season against one of the Superbowl favourites. I really didn't expect to win this one in my heart of hearts. Yes its dissapointing to capitulate in the way we did , but I think its premeture to start blaming individuals on a day filled with bad performances.

Barrett did not play well , but then neither did Vilma.

These are the top 10 D players Stats for the game

    Defense T-A SCK INT FF
    K. Coleman 10-2 0.0 0 0
    D. Barrett 6-0 0.0 0 0
    D. Revis 5-2 0.0 0 0
    V. Hobson 4-2 0.0 0 0
    K. Rhodes 4-1 0.0 0 0
    D. Robertson 4-1 0.0 0 0
    S. Pouha 3-0 0.0 0 0
    B. Thomas 3-0 0.0 0 0
    E. Barton 2-2 0.0 0 0
    D. Bowens 2-0 0.0 0 0
