Just because Becton is big, doesn't mean that he shouldn't be held to the same standard as the rest of the team. If he comes in over weight & out of shape, then hit him wear it hurts...In the wallet. I don't understand him, he has the world by the balls & could have been one of the best OT in the league & he's letting it all slip rite through his fingers. I think too much free money from last year went to his head.
Are we talking games where he starts or games where he plays? Because going by his t-shirt he needs to start all 17. There's a bet to be made on if he plays at left or right tackle...
I'll be the first to stick his neck out. Just an off the wall guess, not based on anything substantial or any specifics of which games he's in or out. Eleven.
I'm sure someone mentioned it already but Saleh said during his call with Eisen that Becton is cleared medically and he just needs to get his body ready for the season. I don't know that I can confidently say the guy I saw at the podium can get into football shape by the start of the season. I'm guessing his debut is week 5 and he doesn't make it past mid season. This is all assuming another injury doesn't happen during camp.
I don't see how they can at this point. I wanted Thomas, who has had injury problems of his own, but nowhere near as severe as this guy's.
My thought exactly. Although I don’t think he looks out of shape there at all. I mean, given what his shape is, he looks pretty muscular. You can’t expect a guy that big to be ripped like Thomas Jones.
There area lot of fat boys in the NFL at the end of the day, the fine line is being big enough, strong enough for the position while remaining capable of carrying that weight, Becton is failing on that score atm though his injury was unlucky and not to do with his weight but the recovery length is all due to his weight, again that is just my opinion and I am no medical expert.
