Well Welker was NE's Chrebet but now he's become more like NE's Welker, so for Kerley to be our Welker he'd first have to be our Chrebet and then we must surround him with shitty receivers and a HOF QB.

The way people underestimate Welker is beyond belief. The guy is among the most productive NFL WR in the history of this game. Guys like Junc's grandchildren who never saw him play will be putting up stats to argue he was the greatest WR of this era. Kerley, Kerley are you serious? Wes freakin Welker is going into the NFL HOF on the first ballot.

Maybe a bit of an overstatement at least to this point in his career and he does not find the endzone that often. However, he is currently on pace to completely shatter the record for most receiving yards in a season.

Most yards gained, season: 1,848, Jerry Rice, 1995
    Welker's 2011 pace: 2368

All kidding aside the guy when he is healthy and starting is amazingly productive. He's had 59 game starts and has averaged 9.7 catches a game and 117 yards per game. Those are sick numbers.

In order to just break it he'd have to average 101 yards a game from here on out

I don't think he will do it because he usually doesn't hold up physically for 16 games. If he does he has a great shot.

Even if he were as talented, NO, because he has Mark Sanchez throwing him the ball, not Tom Brady

Wes Welker would be a nobody if he didn't have Brady throwing him the ball.

On most teams, Welker would be a #3-#4 WR with decent stats but no where near the stats he puts up now.

Tell that to Cassell. Welker made him a rich man.

Can Sanchez be our Tom Brady?
Can Slausen be our Logan Mankins?
Can our O-line (minus Thor and Brick) be traded in for NE's right now?

We can't get Plax and Santonio to be Plax and Santonio.

Schotty doesn't know a play over 10 yards,
Mark is scared to death to hold on to the ball longer than 2 seconds (and I can't blame him),
our O-line disintegrates like a Flinstone chewable every other play,
BGE was able to just fall forward for at least 6 yards a touch last week,
and I'm pretty sure me and 4 other guys on TGG could run block as well as they are right now.

    We are currently ranked:
    21st (pass off)
    31st (rush off)
    5th (pass def)
    24th (rush def)

And you're wondering if we can convert a rookie into a pro bowl slot reciever?...........

I'm going to go ripp my face off now.

I used to think blindly about this topic too. Too often just because he's white he's compared to Chrebet. It pains me to say it but Welker is like Chrebet on roids.

Shotty is drooling over this, thinking, "finally a deep threat!"

Most ridiculous thread I 've ever read on this board and that's saying something. Thought I might have missed a big game so I went to NFL.com to check out Kerley's stats. LMFAO, 3f'ing catches for 35 yards. Pencil him is for Canton.

This is without a doubt the dumbest most uninformed post in the "most ridiculous thread on this board" and wow that is saying something.

We all know that from Day 1 Welker was a super star. I just looked it up and saw Welker was headed to Canton his first year in San Diego/Miami.
