Actually, after watching your highlights clip and seeing the sneak again, that WAS a pretty damn big play.
This sucks.... and the ironic part is that Pace started off on fire last year but then fizzled but this was mostly due to the CS who decided to stop putting pressure on the QB's and started going into full out zone w/Pace and Thomas defending the flats (unsuccessfully)
Somewhere, in a dark corner of a gay bar in Boston, Belicheat and Brady are smiling. Has Rex made any comments on Pace's suspension?
I was so disappointed when I heard about this. Now tell me if this makes any sense, but I've read a handful of articles so far and some are saying 'illegal supplements over the counter' and some are saying 'anabolic steroids'. Since when can you buy anabolic steroids at GNC or some health food store or what have you?! Anyone?! The fact that he's not fighting it tells you he's got a big, fat G for Guilty on his forehead. Well, right after he removed the L for loser, that is. Then the stories convolute themselves even further by saying stuff like he he wasn't sure about this or that about it but he should have known what he was putting into his body, blah blah. Uh, this is your career, and when in doubt, DO THE WORK AND ASK - but I don't think he felt the need to do the work and ask. I'd like to say "What an idiot!" - which I have elsewhere, and it isn't that I've changed my tack, I just won't call him an idiot now because I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt on this and allowing him to use the dumb and dumber card here. He had to know that what he was taking was a no-no. EDIT: Anyway, sentiments probably already gone over
I can't be mad at Pace. Maybe it's just the cynic in me - but I can't realistically see anyone playing OL, DL or LB'r @ the pro level anymore without juicing. It's just unnatural for a human to be that big and that fast and that strong. I don't mind my Jets juicing - I just wish they would do whatever is necessary to not get caught.
i tend to agree with this. i think there is a lot of juicing going on, just doesn't get caught. as for minding if the Jets players juice, i find it embarrassing that a player of the team i'm a fan of would juice.
Some of you are being soft on him for being stupid, I don't get the mentality. Our team paid him a lot of money just to shame himself? There's something wrong with the coddling going on here. It's an embarrassment, and it's making me madder by the minute.
heres how i look at it jetophile. all of us have to avoid certain things to keep our jobs. some of us have to maintain a drivers license to keep our jobs. i personally have drank more than 1 beer putting me over the legal limit of .08 and driven. had i been pulled over i would have lost my job. we have all done something like this at some point in our lives. think about all the guys diddling their secretaries or some other woman at the job even though they KNOW they are not allowed to. its tough to sit in a glass house and throw stones.
Clean up sports Pro athletes cheat and I am damn well getting tired of this shit. CLEAN UP PRO SPORTS.
And some are going way over the top. Yes with hindsight he should have made inquiries as to what exactly was in the supplement before he took it. It sounds like a genuine mistake to me , stupid ? Yes. But then stand up anyone who hasn't mad a dumb-ass mistake in life ? Question : - Why are Jets players having to go outside of the organisation to get supplements ? Surely the team should supply all NFL friendly drugs. Also found this interesting tidbit.....
