When you have an exciting sport like the NFL crowd noise helps the home team but you absolutely don't need dopey spelling chants led by mascots during timeouts when they are useless.

Stultifyingly boring sports like soccer and baseball need official crowd songs and the wave, respectively

The chant is part of our history so I like it but I wish we'd just bring noise and consistently make it a tough place for opponents to play.

They should only do the chant at KickOff... No need for any other time.. Make some god damn noise when we are on defense and keep quiet when Geno is out there.

It should be done on change of possessions when going from D to O provided there is a time out.

How about a random contest for each home game, where the winner gets an upgrade on tickets and a flight crew cheerleader to put on his shoulders to lead the chant for each game. Then the cameras just need to zoom in and get the chant roaring.

I don't think bringing a dead guy in a barrel to a game would do much to liven up the crowd. I guess those cold winter days took their toll.
