If he didn't retire he was going to get cut. It's actually nice to see a player who'd rather retire with their team then string out a career that is fading fast.
Tedy Bruschi is probably the classiest, most admirable and most respectable person I've ever hated. I can't think of any bigger compliment to pay the man then Jet fans wishing another stroke on him.
Not a surprise to anyone following the team's training camp. This guy was a consummate professional and was an invaluable part of the defense for years. He definitely had the ability to rub opponents the wrong way sometimes, but how many linebackers in the HOF were considered nice guys on the field? Great career and nothing made me happier than to see him come back from a stroke in '05. To me his career will always be defined by this play against the Colts in the 2004 AFC division game where just stole the ball right out of Edgerrin James' hands.
HAW HAW HAW! Before/After!, much as I said; although that isn't the 'celebrating' shot I was referring to. Close enough is good enough for me. Too bad for him he played with a bunch of cheating sh*tbags. Um, which I guess also makes him a cheating sh*tbag by default.
I never liked him but as player always seemed to be around the ball. I think he made a mistake by coming back to the NFL from the stroke but its his life
Then this will be my last "Bruschi Sucks" chant!!! Or at least until a Pats fan comes walking by with a 54 Pats jersey.
Define classy. I've sat right behind the visitors bench his whole career and I remember him from the very beginning. Major, major trash talker. Great player since the very beginning. Always making plays...and a leader. Anybody that talks trash though as much as that guy is not classy, IMO. He's kind of like Chris Carter was during his career. Defenses hated that guy because he never kept his yap shut from the first play to the last, much like Bruschi. Plus, he was probably the guy getting the illegal signal from the sideline and relaying it to the rest of the team. We must not forget that in any discussion regarding players on the Pats D.
100%. Because a year has gone by I'm supposed to forget it? The Pats were caught cheating DURING a game. The next day, it was reported that the NFL was also questioning why the Pats were playing with radio frequencies. Obviously, they were taping the signals, then stealing the frequencies going to the QB's helmet. The NFL buried this because bettors were paid. The Pats cheated their way to 3 SB titles.
I always thought it was cute that the leader of the Pats D who was a grown man went by the name Tedy.
