Browning Nagle dead at 57

    I'm sorry to hear this news. As a cancer survivor, I can relate to the "cancer sucks" take.

    First of all, when I first saw the thread, I thought it was our Browning Nagle poster. So glad it's not you, BN.

    When I think of Browning Nagle the QB, I can't help thinking of Jeff Blake. The two of them were in camp fighting for the QB job but Blake, who I think was undrafted, clearly outplayed Nagle. Nevertheless, when the season started, the Jets gave the job to Nagle. Blake ended up with the Bengals, where he went on to be a pro-bowler. Groucho Marx once said, "who are you going to believe, me or your own eyes!" I often wonder what the Jets might done if they had just believed their own eyes.

    Imagine that - two viable QBs in camp at the same time and the Jets went with the wrong one!
