Denver may be 2nd in passing yards but the they're 15th in scoring off all those yards. And Orton's only good when he's not sitting on the bench watching us run for 200+ yards and eating the clock. They have no run game (last). They can't stop the run (1st vs. 25th run-D). We pick Orton one time and it's checkmate. 35-17 Jets
The Broncos are the # 2 pass offense in the NFl They have played the #31 pass d, # 29, #27, #2, and #13 Just sayin'
Revis will have three weeks if you include the week leading up to the Packers game. In Rex's press conference today he backtracked from last week when he said if Revis is ready to go he must be 100% and will play the whole game. Today he said there's a chance he'll put in Revis on only some plays like 3rd downs, etc...
They threw for over 300 yards against Baltimore. The possibility is there and we could get torched. But because our run game is so good and their run defense is so poor if we can score in the red zone we can manage the game and the clock. If we have trouble scoring in the red zone like we did with Baltimore and the Vikings then we'll be keeping the Bronco's in the game and it could go either way.
They also got demolished in that game. They had 316 passing yards but only 346 total yards. Without any real threat to run the ball the Jets can tee off on Orton all day. Throw in that they gave up 230+ yards on the ground and as long as Schotty doesn't get to cute they should dominate total yards, and time of possesion. That being said I don't see the Jets overlooking anybody. Buffalo was a perfect oppurtunity for that coming off two big division wins and then a huge MNF game but they destroyed the Bills.
Last year the Broncos started out 6-0 (had a top 5 defense) had a bye week then proceeded to lose the next 4 games in a row & ended the season @ 8-8...just saying, you never know what's going to happen in this league. I just want us to play smart turnover free "JET" football & we'll see where that takes us. I know 2 of the first six games they won they were very fortunate in doing so but that's how football is...luck is part of the game.
i'm not concerned about the jets overlooking the broncos, but i am concerned about the short week after a tough win, a long trip on the road, playing in high altitude at a loud stadium against a team desperate for a win and whose strength has been our biggest weakness. if the jets win this game i will officially allow myself to get excited for this season.
on paper the JETS should "ground-n-pound" them into the turf, and leave with a solid victory. but for some reason my gut has had a bad feeling about this one, albeit not as strong as a few days ago. So far the only game I picked the JETS to lose this year was week 1, I'm on the fence at the moment. Logic says JETS, my gut says.... well, it could be indigestion. I can Wilson getting picked on big time this game.....and Coleman reverting to, well... Coleman. we'll see GO JETS.
2nd highest rated pass offense in the NFL, we are headed into a bye week. It's not a trap game and what are we looking past them for? Vacation? If anything they will play/work even harder knowing they have extra rest. I hate when a Monday night team has to travel far in their following Sunday game, that part is BS. We already lost a day of practice, now we lose another for travel.
I love it when people complain about someone starting a thread by posting in said thread. It seems like certain gang green members are only here to be douchebags and would like to see zero threads on this site.
I'd feel much better if this were a Home game. Denver is a tough place to play and the Jets have historically not done well there. On paper, the only area where matchups favor the Broncos is their passing game vs. our Pass Defense but it's still going to be a tough game.
According too those two retards on ESPN in the morning (Rucco and Lundberg) they both think that Denver will stomp on the Jets sunday...
