Yes it was Herm's fault Chad got hit from behind and hurt his shoulder again:rolleyes:

They didn't let Becht leave, he left on his own. They offered him a nice deal to stay but he was hated by the fans and decided to get a fresh start.

How did herm kill Curtis again?

He made KC better in 2006 than they had been in recent years then the team let alot of talent go to get younger and they were building the right way. That team is going to be alot better next year and they will have his staff to thank for developing that QB and some other players.

I think Herm Edwards is twice the coach Mangini was. I'd give Mangini a 1/10 and Herm a 2/10. The only difference between them is motivational skills.

    Mangini vs. Edwards is 2-0.

Their resumes, pre head coach, are actually remarkably similar. Both of them coached a system that was primarily devised by somebody else, had limited exposure (none for Edwards) as more than a position coach, and tried to install the system they were familiar with somewhere else. Herm's Cover-2 has always been iffy to poor and Mangini's 3-4 is similar. Belichik and Dungy would be worth hiring, their lackeys were not.

The didn't make Becht an offer.

By installing a downfield passing O the same off season that they let both Becht and KMack go and tried to install a new unporven LT they essentially killed both QB's and Curtis. Teams stacked up against us and absolutely lived in our backfield.

Herm was the HC and it was Herm who wanted a down field attack with Chad and Fielder both coming back from injury and both with weak arms to begin with without having a clue on how he was going to protect them.

I agree Herm was listening to the fans because Herm is clueless when it comes to O.

If Herm is so good Poli has the right to keep him. I'm betting Herm doesn't make the cut.

Cleveland should hire him to do postgame press conferences for Mangini. They'd be a good team. Mangini could screw things up on the field the whole day and then Herm could come in and provide double tongue twisting cover for him.

I liked Herm but I don't think we're going that way, though.

    on becht: http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/sports/2005/03/15/2005-03-15_becht_latest_jet_to_fly_as_t.html

It was a fluke play where Chad got hurt. I guess it was parcells' fault Phil Simms was injury prone early in his career then he got hurt in 1990? It's silly to blame the coach.

Any new Gm wants to hire his own coach but if I was Pioli I would keep Herm another year and if the team still sucks then you have your choice of Cowher, Holmgren, Shanahan and maybe Dungy.

They let him go. They made a move on Denver's TE and Becht was gone when the deal fell through. He was out the door when they tried a last minute move on him. It was the same screw up they made with Ferguson except they actually wanted Ferguson.

Chad was coming back from injury. We had no proven LT they let the starting RT leave and their starting TE leave. They than install a down field passing O with no check down routes. It was dumb, they needed to outright protect Chad the teams most valuable assett coming off of injury. They put him in a new system and didn't have a plan to protect him. On top of it they brought in a back up who also couldn't perform in a down field throwing O who was hurt. It was dumb and Herm on top of it didn't give a crap and killed Curtis. The guy is a bum and should never be welcome in the building.

KC just had their 2 worst back to back seasons ever.

He had no desire to come back b/c iof the way he was treated by the fans.

They didn't screw up w/ Ferguson, if Parcells hadn't screwed up our cap we may have had more money to keep him but he hasn't done much since we let him go.

The Ol is another argument but it had little to do w/ who the OC was. You think the Ol would have performed better in a running offense w/ an injured Curtis and Chad out? The OC was irrelevant.

AGAIN, please explain how Herm was responsible for Curtis getting hurt?

The GM got fired b/c of it. They let go most of their vet talent and brought in all young players, everyone knew they would struggle.

The OL was allowed by management AKA Herm/Bradway to go down the tube in the same off season chad was coming back from major shoulder surgery and they were installing a new O. That my friend is the fault of the HC who decided to both install a new O and did nothing to shore up the OL first. If you want to blame the OL personal on Bradway fine but after 4 years if Herm didn't have any influence on personal, why was he installing a new O without the personal to do it?

Why has KC had the two worst back to back seasons in team history? Herm Edwards he is a wrecking machine.

Now Herm had control of personnel? and they did do things for the Ol they just didn't pan out.

They had ONE bad OL year in Herm's years and they ahd to replace Ryan Young and Randy Thomas and STILL had good OLs.

Herm is wrecking machine? he wrecked us so much that the last time we missed the postseason in back to back years ? the 2 years pre-Herm and the next time we missed back to back years? the 3 yr period after Herm left us. What did people have against making the playoffs? I enjoyed it and I wish we would make it as often as we did under him. It sucks watching other teams every year.

Herm should be the replacement for Andy Rooney when he dies.

Yeah I can see what a great poster junc is from his exchanges with winston. heh.

Of course many Chad Fans are Herm Fans, too. They liked that whole black father narrative. It fit with the Chad is a great guy narrative.

I had no idea how important narratives are in football until those two clowns got together.
