I would be totally OK with Billick as HC. He seems to have that crazy edge to him. His teams always played tough and fearless. Those are 2 qualities that have been lacking with the Jets for quite a while.

A team also without a viable QB with an owner makes kneejerk decisions before heading out on vacation.

If you are not from NY, the market could be a negative ie: the ridiculous media.

Wouldn't mind Rex Ryan as HC and Billick as OC, Mike Nolan DC. Lot of head coaching experience to help a guy who has never done it at any level.

At least the press conferences would be watchable with Billick. And it would be nice to have a coach who could beat Bellicheck in a prick contest.

But he was supposed to be an offensive guru and the only part of his ravens teams that were ever good-to-great was the d. Herms personality was entertaining too..

Did any of you guys read "The Next Man Up"? every hardcore football fan should read that book. Its about Brian Billick and the Ravens in 2004-2005 read this book. Billick is the man and a highly motivated and intense coach. He would bring a spirit to our locker room and have the best chance out of any coach available including cowher to fire up this team and bring it to the next level. Anyone opposed to Billick is misinformed. His defense mind is well experienced working with the Ravens His offensive mind is also well experienced as he was the offensive coordinator on the Vikings when they set offensive records as well. (He was there for that whole Culpepper and Randy Moss stuff)

    based on what?

I'm not disagreeing with you...i'm just curious as to why you feel he is a NEED for this team.

I for one...witnessed what he did during the last few years he was in Baltimore.....and his offense was terrible. He defenitly brings playoff experience with a Super Bowl win...and is a fiery type coach....but other than that...he's nothing special.

Billick reminds me of Hayden Fox (Craig T. Nelson)....sounds like him, looks like him, and freaks out like him. Maybe we could get Luther to run the defense.

  17. I like Billick as a head coach...but I don't like when he takes over his offense.

For all the talk of him being an "offensive genius"...he failed w/ several different QB's in Balty and aside from one season...could never ride that dominant defense.

I do believe however that we need an established, experienced head coach...and not a young up and comer. This team does not to be rebuilt...it needs to be refined.

i am not a fan of billick, i feel his teams in baltimore were good in spite of him not because of him. he was supposed to be an offensive genius yet his offenses were TERRIBLE year after year. the defense was great but that was not something he dabbled in very often. and as you can see a rookie head coach has brought the team with the same d coordinator and pretty much defense to the playoffs and they are playing about as well as anyone, the same team that went 5-11 last year under billick.

not a good choice, hopefully he speaks with us and thats the end of it. but i dont see why we would even bother speaking with him.

Terrible Offensive coach. He's a offensive minded coach who aint offensive minded. I Rather have Allie Davis coach us then Billick.
