Anyway, favre is our qb, i'm glad hes here. Hopefully chad will have a good rest of his career but i will never cheer for him as long as he wears a phins jersey.

everyone knows that future hall of famers never go out of style. thats why I keep my Curtis Martin jersey

whatever bandwagon fans come any time you have a winning team...you only have to look at one city in the northeast...its a perfect example

He led his team to a TD in the final 2 minutes at Houston, that loss was all on the D for allowing Houston to go the length of the field in less than 2 mins.

He kept leading his team to pts vs. NE, it's hard to win when your D doesn't stop the opponent.

It was miraculous Miami was in our week 1 game.

He led them to a come from behind win over oakland.

he led them to the Fg that put away the Buf game w/ 4 mins left.

He led them to the TD that put away the Den game w/ 3 mins left

Since this is the Brett bandwagon thread, I'm sure the 'he' in all those sentances is Brett.

Honest to god, create a thread about how wonderful chad is or one to argue Brett vs Chad, this shitting up every Brett thread is getting old.

No, but you certainly never will let it drop.

Lets do the comparison crap in a separate thread.

Please let the rest of us enjoy the season with the QB we have.

I didn't bring it up but when misinformation is being posted I need to step in and correct it. Sorry to interrupt yet another Favre slobbering thread.

To the "bandwagoners" - hope you don't take the term bandwagon as an insult. It's just quite strange when the Jets are attracting people. Under normal circumstances, only masochists gravitate towards this team. It's obvious why Favre is loved - personality, skill, and an attitude that blocks out the normal nonsense of our world. Conversely, while I'm sure he believes he was entitled to special consideration in GB, I am happy to put up with a QB controversy if he wants to play again next year.

As for the Chad/Favre thing. I think it's simple - it was a non-zero sum game - MIA and NYJ won. I loved Chad. He's the perfect player to root for - a leader, worked to reach his potential, played hurt, tough as nails, fought back from ridiculous injuries, won, won more playoff games than any Jet QB I can remember ....... but ....... we weren't winning with him. He had an artificial ceiling imposed by his arm. Defensive Coordinators could take liberties in coverage, knowing that his throws gave defenders more time to react. This surfaced on running plays, and crucial moments. THe ironic part is that the way our lines are going, this is becoming the type of team he could succeed on - that said, the bottom line is SB and SB hopes. I am more confident that I've ever been that we can beat any team in any place in any weather conditions.

Sir, if you can't handle Mr. Favre putting points on the board, then I advise you to stop watching the jets. Sure, maybe it's a decision that most QB's may decide to not even attempt the throw, as it has to be a perfect pass. A litle too far in front, a little behind, and it's picked. Not only that, it has to have enough juice on it to get it into the small window. So, it has to be a really hard fast ball, and dead on accurate.

Was it a risky throw? Sure, I guess. But where have you been for the past 16 years, in a hole? This is Brett Freakin Favre. He makes his living on those throws, and completes them way more then not. I think most would agree they would rather see him take a risk like that then one of his bombs into double coverge. For #4, a throw like is routine, and not nearly as big a risk (to him) as it would appear to us. Heck, didn't Eli Manning make a similar throw a couple weeks back with a two score lead?

Your trying to diminish an excellent throw that helped seal the game by saying it was risky. Favre put 6 on the board. This is what you got him for. He has the most td passes in history inside the 5 yard line. I think I'll trust him in that situation.

I wonder how Jets fans would feel watching a young Namath come back to play these days.

actually the general consensus was that the Jets just wasted a ton of money on free agency and they still just be average. Even when they got Brett many or most still didn't give em much of a chance.

it wasn't even that risky considering the defender had his back turned. it was smart, if anything, to throw at that time. the only one who could catch it was Coles and he did. it ended up being a pretty difficult catch but it's good that he trusts Coles to make that catch when he needs him. Brady wouldn't have had half as many TD's to Moss last year if he didn't trust him to make ridiculous catches all the time.

With less juice, or slightly inaccuate to the front of the wr, the LB (I think it was a LB) would of ran in front and picked it off, or lest we forget a defender ran RIGHT INF RONT of coles as he made the catch.

    =)

There was some risk, but the guy coles beat that had one on one coverage was in no position to make a play. It really to me didn't seem any more risky then most other throws, and it was thrown at the perfect time.
