I guess I was wrong, here come the multiple Favre threads.....

I have an idea, let's all start our own Favre Retires threads.

He was going to help us win the Superbowl?

Man, it's too bad you missed the 2008 season. If you get a chance, watch the games.

Why would Favre cry after a year with the Jets? I think he cried it all out last offseason.

After cutting Barret, and Favre retiring we are roughly 10mm under. According to my calculations.

The timing couldn't be more perfect. Bring on Free Agency! I'm perfectly fine, QB draft or no QB draft, with giving Clemens a year to start. The best thing to come out of this whole Favre situation is it accelerated our QB situation. Pennington was great for us, but with limitations. We knew Favre wouldn't be here long, but he forced Chad out and now we can address the future situation cleanly.

Good riddance. We are done with Favre and Pennington and can finally move onto getting a long term solution.

Give the guy some credit. He brought a winning atmosphere to the team and didnt' leave us hanging through the combine and into March and made his decision quickly. He handled it with alot of class.

No surprise, most people knew a week ago this was coming.

So, now for everybody who is overjoyed by this the question is what do we do for a QB and can we possibly win more than 3 or 4 games without one and with the schedule we have?

Obviously some bitterness there though as he had his agent inform the Jets and didn't do it himself.

17 mil in cap space now? Wow, Tannenbaum is really amazing. I didn't know we'd save that much by releasing Barrett. I wonder if there are any other guys we can release for some serious cap space and not really be affected by it on the field.
