Please give me 34 excuses for his 34 losses then :) Hes 39-34 as a starter. Certainly not bad, but certainly doing more than just winning :)

It seems to me that it is really hard to credit Pennington (or any other QB) for turning a team around with only 11 TDs through the first 12 games. Especially, when the trio of Lemon, Green and Harrington threw for 18 last year. I would have to say that all of those other additions on both sides of the ball in Miami, as well as the coaching change has more than just a little to do with it.

Those pick 6's to Cincy and the Giants were great examples of wins.... by the opposition.

Go back to your weed thread. We all know that weed is for people with super cool lives who want their lives to seem even super cooler through the magic of weed.

edit: this was meant for abyzmul, but the quote didn't get through. Someone must have snuck weed into my beer.

The reason comebacks are important to me is that previously Favre did little to nothing that Pennington could not have done, but in the back of my mind I figured that if we needed a comeback win Favre would do what Penny had trouble doing, coming back from a large deficit when the defense knows your gonna pass. Then we got into that situation and Favre was just like Penny, he needs the threat of a running game to pass deep. So no advantage.

Took him about 2 days to sign with the Dolphins and he got a $5M salary from them, $1M less than what he got from the Jets and $8M less than what Favre is getting.

And he was signed by Parcells, some people say he knows what he's doing.

Like the Coles TD pass in the titans game, right?

I remember Penny zipping a ton of balls into tight spaces with 3 defenders around with no problem in the red zone all the time. Wait, no I don't. Penny could never have made that type of throw. I remember all the 6 TD games Penny put up to! Damn, Wrong again.

Favre has had his down moments to be sure, but is a better QB the the oft inured Penny. Both guys are good QB's. Neither guys is all that mobile. The last time Favre missed a start was before Penny was a starter. Penny has been injured more then I care to remember.

The Reason comebacks are important to you is you need to find a flaw to bitch about and there is not much right now. Favre had been playing great for two months up untill the Denver game and you jump all over him. We are 8-4, in first in the east, in controll of our own destiny. How much more do you want out of a season entering December?

Yes, the team has some flaws, but all teams do in the salary cap era NFL. Why you wanted to stick in Ratliff in the second half or now bash bringing in Favre is beyond silly.

...and needing to attack someone's personal life instead of the football argument is a good sign that you have no intelligent thing to say and are losing badly. Try not to be such a dick and stick to the point at hand. You really make yourself look like an immature jackass with things like this.

To be honest I couldn't pick out your posts from most of the other Favre fans posts but what I do know is that all of you credit him when the team wins and makes excuses for him whent he team loses.

Cotchery rarely drops a ball and that ONE drop he had wasn't an easy catch. He should have caught it but it wasn't easy and it's not like if he caught it we have a chance to win.

I never blamed Favre for last week's loss, it was a team loss. The O played poorly, the D played poorly, the STs weren't as good as usual so I don't know where you get this notion that I blamed Favre.

W/ you guys it's all about perception and not reality. if I don't slobber all over favre I am bashing him, if I don't say Chad sucks I am slobbering all over him. I never said Chad was the only reason Miami has been good this year but he has beent he biggest reason. Just ask dolphin players or fans.

I have said when Chad played poorly, he played poorly in the Baltimore game off the top of my head. the problem is you guys only see what you want to see.

No they don't. They have an average OL, good RBs, below average WRs and avreage TEs. Compare that our above average OL, good RBs, above average WRs and now we have an above averag pass catcher at TE. They don't have half the talent we have on O.

There were supposedly a bunch of teams interested but he signed immediately w/ Miami. You don't think Minnesota has kicked themselves for not going after Chad?

I don't act like anything. I deal w/ facts and Miami has had MORE talenetd teams in the past few years and couldn't win. What has been the biggest difference this year? The Jets on the other hand made a million great moves before we got Favre and we had been an every other year team since 2002. Miami hasn't been in a legit playoff race this late in a season since 2003. We were a playoff team just 2 years ago.

A good # of those losses came last year when we were awful. No QB could have won w/ that team. Chad in his 3 healthy years led us to 3 postseasons including a div title in a div w/ a dynasty team in it and a much tougher conference than Brett had played in the last decade.

this is the problem w/ people who don't understand the game, they just look at #s. You have to dig a little deeper.

You are upset with Favre fans for making excuses when his team loses, and then you go and post this. THIS IS AN EXCUSE FOR WHY PENNY LOSES. YOU CANNOT DISPUTE THAT. STOP BEING SO FREAKING HYPOCRITICAL.

Talent wise I would say Chad has half the talent Brett has.
