Unfortunately, I don't think we see 100% Breece until 2024.

Saquon had a very similar injury and we all saw how he looked last year. Even though he was able to return, it was obvious he wasn't himself.

Saquon can also serve as the optimism for Breece returning to what we saw from him this year though because Saquon looks like his old self this year and is a big reason the Giants are where they are right now.

ACL injuries are piling up a lot more this year.

Looked up to see Broncos field status and can't even blame the grass. It's just a freak accident

Today, the Broncos are 1 of 16 NFL teams that use natural grass playing surfaces at their stadiums. The other 16 teams, including both pairs of teams that share stadiums, use a variety of artificial turfs.

Still think teams should address the field, not sure what to do about these type of knee injuries. It's part of the game but every week stars are going down

If the imaging confirms this, the League ought to investigate Denver for targeting. That hit was vicious, beginning with the helmet to helmet, and then the gang tackling. It was really like they were trying to take out our best player. I know there can't be criminal charges issued, but there ought to be significant fines, suspensions, and sanctions levied.

I thought the same--As I said somewhere else it reminded me of Rollerball in case you know that movie--guys would take out others purposefully.

Fading was in regards to fantasy football. Williams injury was significantly worse than Halls so he is just saying he will shy away from Williams in '23 fantasy football vs Hall in '23 b/c it is just an ACL with partial meniscus rather than other ligaments (LCL)

I think he’ll be fine and back to himself opening day 2023. It’s an October injury vs December/January huge difference.

This had nothing to do with the field surface, it had everything to do with a targeted, vicious hit, meant to take our best offensive player out.

They should fine the other guy for hitting Breece in the head. Terrible no call there

I think the silver lining here is that it's just the ACL. I think that puts him in a different category in terms of being able to come back fully. I didn't read the linked research upthread concerning RBs and LBs being the most likely to not regain their form, but I suspect that some of those cases involved additional knee damage beyond the ACL. If the knee is completely shredded (ACL, LCL, PCL) I believe it makes the recovery much more difficult, and the chances of a return to pre-injury form less likely.

From the reports coming out, the "no additional damage" part after the ACL tear and meniscus trauma is HUGE. If he had the ACL and then tears in either the LCL, PCL, or both, it starts to veer into legitimate career threatening territory - or at the very least "he'll never be the same again" territory.

So, since we already knew he tore his ACL, these MRI results are actually good news.

After Sunday’s game, Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters the team believed young running back Breece Hall tore his ACL.Now, that fear has been confirmed.According to multiple reports, further testing revealed Hall tore his ACL and suffered a minor meniscus injury.Hall had to exit New York’s win over Denver in the second quarter on [more]

Just to add some information to the Barkley comparisons with Hall --

Barkley hurt his ACL week 2 vs Chicago in 2020, but he also had an MCL sprain while injuring that knee. Someone can fact check me on this, but IIRC, Barkley had to wait 4-5 weeks for the swelling of the knee to go down before they could dig in and repair the ACL. This would be about the same time in the year Hall is getting his surgery (give or take a week). Barkley was 100% ready for the '21 season and started the season. One of the issues with Saquon was that hurt his ankle in week 5 vs Dallas and went on to miss the next 4 games. He never really got into a good routine. I also think the fact they had dumb and dumber (Judge & Garrett) didn't help, but I think Breece could be back close to what we have seen this year
