Francesa is a fucking buffoon who gets made fun of by everyone. As for Te'o, the gay thing makes sense. He's gay but he doesn't want people to know so to not have his friends ponder about how a star football player at Notre Dame isn't hooking up with any girls he makes up this shit about that he has a girlfriend but she's sick and they only talk over the phone, computer etc. but now his lie has back fired and he's pretty much fucked.
I've been wondering about that myself. My opinion is that he'd keep the award as long as he insists that he was duped. He'd play the victim card when it came to this award. Stating he's already paying his dues with public shame.
Ah but that's a separate argument. I was only responding to a poster stating his desire to draft Te'o is determined on Te'o honesty in this matter. When it comes to talent, he did look exposed against Alabama. Some people say he never stood a chance because everybody in front of him was blown away. As for myself, I was reserving judgement until he played in some of these senor bowls. Unfortunately, he's decided to skip it.

The biggest theory I see is that it started as a hoax and he didn't know and then he went along with it once he found out. Who knows, crazy. Plaschke on Around the Horn made a good points, ND didn't reach out to Te'o to honor the family, give them tickets, and look into it? They knew about the hoax and let reporters ask questions about the girlfriend death before the BCS championship even though they knew it was not true.

i mean its more than that with t'eo. hes the ILB, the "quarterback" of the defense. his leadership qualities are one of the reasons why he's rated so high. this has more effects then you might think. i wouldn't want my "quarterback" of the defense to be a nation wide renowned liar
